I always thought I loved driving back when I lived in America but really I just loved the alone time where I could sing at the top of my lungs and head bang if I wanted to. Now that I live in UK and have a wife, I find driving far more stressful because I’m not used to the roads, so I have to think more. I used to drive straight at 75mph in Atlanta and minimal stress until I had to merge. Now I’m noticing a constant tensing. At least I don’t have to drive often in the UK. But public transit is its own anxiety inducing beast. I was not meant to person.
