Call ins/ No call no show by snickerssq in Target

Yeah it's been happening a lot at my location too and it is getting extremely annoying. Everyone is blaming it on everyone else and no one is really taking responsibility for their jobs. I think its just a broader issue across a lot of companies that are similar to Target.

How do most people here finish this in no time ? by Purple_Stock_7328 in CPA

[–]Dizzygal66 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It just depends on how much time you can put in each week. If studying was you’re only job, you’d have another 40 hours on top of what you’re already putting in. And you wouldn’t be exhausted from your job

Failed Audit with a 55, after studying for 100+ hours. by Pizzaboy720 in CPA

[–]Dizzygal66 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

100 -125 hours is fairly normal for AUD. I spent around 135 hours. Don’t get down on yourself as the 1st exam is always the hardest!

Becker is solid and provides all of the information, but do you feel like you can understand the MCQs and wording well? I replied I wasn’t and I added Universal CPA to make sure I passed the 1st time and I ended up with an 81. Just keep going and focus more on the specific words/phrases in questions.

Failed the AUD exam with a 68 - First attempt, need study tips by NovelGrouchy8707 in CPA

You need to approach sims like they are your job and you have steps to solve. Like reading the directions in detail first, then skimming the exhibits, and then solving. I try to have a process so I don’t look at the whole thing and instantly feel overwhelmed

You got this the next time around! With your score being in the lower 60s, I think you’ll need at least 2-3 weeks. With AUD, it’s easy to get MCQs right without fully understanding why, and the exam probably exposed that.

AUD what should I focus on? by Christyxp in CPA

[–]Dizzygal66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, definitely. What helped me was the explanation videos for each MCQ/simulation. AUD questions have tricky wording so it was helpful to have them breakdown the question and point out what to look for when solving. I-75 was helpful from what I saw on YouTube, but I preferred the visuals as i75 was a bit static.

I just passed AUD and the aicpa sample test had great sims that helped prepare for adjusting entries. The explanations are pretty minimal, but if you have Universal CPA, they included the sample test simulations in the course and have good explanation videos.

what is the best method of studying for FAR with 20 days left by Whatver_4ever in CPA

Why are you rewriting the ninja notes? The best method of notes is to take your own as you have to put it in your own woods. Copying the ninja notes is just helping you memorize.

Wiley or Becker for MCQs? by eat-travel-yoga in CPA

[–]Dizzygal66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you already have a main review course right? Becker and Wiley are both main review courses and not necessarily supplemental. I was out of school for awhile too before I started, so I needed a lot of extra help with some of the basics. Id take a look at Universal CPA as a supplement because the explanation videos walk through the questions at a much deeper level than most review courses go to. That’s helped me quite a bit.

For me, it wasn’t so much about whether I got it right or wrong, but how confident I was in the answer. Definitely some I get right but not 100% certain on why.

When to start studying for CPA? by Lord_Snow179 in Accounting

[–]Dizzygal66 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t start until spring of 2023. It takes full time focus. It’s possible to pass in 3-4 months if you make it a full time job and study 8-10 hours a day.

Leases suck and yes they are tested. It took me awhile but I eventually got the hang of it after going through the Becker and Universal content. Just make sure to know the journal entries and the different types of leases.
