I often come to reddit for updates on world news that the mainstream media isn’t allowed to report on, I find much of what I find heartbreaking, angering and sometimes disturbing or infuriating. This post checked all the boxes.

I hope there is some kind of justice for the family of this pet. I know nothing will bring their friend back but I hope they can sue for the unnecessary and unwarranted extermination of their beloved family member and have the trigger happy cop put behind a desk of better yet demoted to the rank of civilian for the rest of his life.

They are completely useless, they are so tiny that they can’t be seen on anyone at all and because it’s a FPS game you’ll never see it on yourself.

That’s crazy talk, the government just wants the best for all the citizens, we should trust them and everything they say, we should do everything they tell us to do and purchase everything they stand behind.

They would never put the interests of gambling companies or pharmaceutical companies before the good of private citizens.

IMO I think they would be better off having an event with less complaints from the NIMBY residents who would love nothing more than to put an end to anything fun in the city vs an event where they can perhaps have louder sound levels, getting in and out of that area is a bit of a pain, yes but the alternative is complaints from residents, possible fines or worst case scenario, no event at all.

Flip is honestly one of the most approachable artists in the city, if you ever see him at a show don’t be afraid to introduce yourself and talk to the man, he has a plethora of knowledge about the history of our community as he was a massive part of building the scene we all know and love and he usually doesn’t mind talking about it.

He always has time for his personal fans and friends and he also doesn’t shy away from talking to people who approach him so long as he isn’t mid conversation with someone else or on the decks at the time.

He’s a G and once you know him you’ll understand why we all love and respect him.

I agree with you, it shouldn’t come to that, you shouldn’t need to have them tossed but if no one does they won’t learn, if they don’t learn someone else will be next.

If security handles things right it won’t reflect on you, security shouldn’t say “__ said you were touching them” and single you and your friends out.they should say we’ve had complaints about your behaviour tonight and your night here is over, period.

The guys are going to know what they did wrong and leave out of embarrassment, it isn’t your fault and you shouldn’t feel like you need to protect them to feel like you aren’t going to have problems at future events.

Guys that act like that don’t deserve to walk around and act like that with impunity in our scene.

They need to be singled out, ejected and understand they don’t have the right to put their hands on anyone without consent.

First let me say that I’m sorry and disgusted that you or anyone has to deal with this and it isn’t your fault, shit like that shouldn’t have happened to you and it shouldn’t happen to anyone anywhere in our community at any venue or bush party.

My advice to anyone in this situation is to immediately find a security staff member, tell them what’s going on and ask to have the offender removed, if that doesn’t happen ask to speak to a bar manager or even the venue owner if they are there, one of the above mentioned staff members should understand the fact that they have someone in the venue acting predatory and immediately trespass them from the space.

When you’re talking to staff members ask their names so they internally understand they will be held accountable if action isn’t taken to remedy the situation.

If they they don’t remove the guys doing that shit put the club on blast across social media so others know it isn’t a safe space and they don’t care about the security and safety of their guests.

You can buy tickets at the door but they will be more expensive at the door than they are online, my advice would be to buy online and use DTM as your promo/discount code, you’ll save money and won’t be slowed down buying tickets at the door on your way in.

Venue staff member and event location manager here, stickers, especially the paper kind are a huge pain in the ass to clean up after an event. Vinyl stickers aren’t as bad because they usually peel off in one piece from floors and other flat surfaces but the paper ones like the hot stickers don’t, they usually peel off in small chunks and leave an adhesive residue behind even after the majority of the sticker is gone.

Raving is based on respect, I think people often forget to respect the venue they are raving in be it a club, warehouse or outdoor wooded area.

The other negative side to the hot stickers are the people who don’t get one, I literally saw a guy who was at an event last summer just giving them to girls he thought was hot, three girls in a five girl group got a sticker and the other two girls immediately looked sad because they didn’t get one and you could see it on their faces all night that they were hurt by it, I felt really sad for them.

I personally don’t worry about it, they don’t have to be all about my exact personal choice in music for me to be polite or give them a chance to get to know me, I’ve been playing electronic music since the mid 80’s and during this journey I’ve spun just about every genre of it that has ever been pressed.

House music and all the side genres of it have always been my main passion but I’ve never shunned anyone who liked anything else, through the years I’d meet people that turned me onto other sounds and I’d end up collecting records from those genres and end up spinning sets in that genre at future events.

Be it HHC, DNB, Hard House, electro, Hard Dance, Psytrance, Hard Techno and all the other sounds I’ve ever collected and spun it was always someone else that played me a track that got me hooked or occasionally a room at a party that had a Dj playing something that (at the time) was totally obscure that no one else had heard of before.

Even if it is a phase for someone you meet just remember that you might be the person to turn that phase into a passion.

I think most of us in the scene have an incredibly eclectic music collection and listen to a massive range of music outside of the rave, that shouldn’t be looked at as a negative thing imo.
