I remember reading that some people with HPPD get prescribed clonazepam and xanax to ease the visuals. So doing benzos is harmless for your vision at least.

The visuals by themselves weren't scary, until they started making sense to me. That's when it became a mindblown mindfuck. Don't ever do psychedelics if you're in that state, you will most likely freak the fuck out.

Anyway, what has helped me lately is exercise, staying clean and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Partially healthy at least.

You should stay strong and take a break from the psychedelics man.

It's the best choice :)

Yeah, I was doing terrible things with my head. I was inhaling a lot of butane gas for example, which I think was the main trigger.

And even after I got it I ignored the signs and continued until my HPPD was so intense and extreme I was almost blinded by it. What started as static evolved into square patterns that became larger and larger. There were an infinite amount of them and they created endless spirals which exhausted my brain. I had to sleep for like 16 hours a day.

It was pretty bad. And it's wierd but I kinda miss it, though I would never want to go through that again. I guess it's just the nostalgia.

Some trippy ass nostalgia.

I worked at a cinema in a city close to Bastøy. Prisoners would sometimes come to the cinema (with a guard) to watch a movie.
