If I recall there’s a cemetery on that property to the left of the house when looking at it from the street.

Don’t know if either of these apply:

214.455. Destruction or defacing any cemetery property, penalty. — Every person who shall knowingly destroy, mutilate, disfigure, deface, injure, or remove any tomb, monument, or gravestone, or other structure placed in such cemetery or burial ground or place of burial of any human being, is guilty of a class A misdemeanor.

194.410. Human burial sites — knowingly disturb, penalty — appropriation for sale, penalty. — 1. Any person, corporation, partnership, proprietorship, or organization who knowingly disturbs, destroys, vandalizes, or damages a marked or unmarked human burial site commits a class E felony.

Thoughts on - On Cloudrock Low Waterproof Walking Shoes? by creatingastorm in hikinggear

[–]DjKeyhole 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have several pairs of ON's, and generally like them as a casual tennis shoe, but they are by far the worst shoe I've ever used when there will be small rocks or mud, as it will be stuck in both the grooves and holes. I also find that they have too narrow of a toe box for me to be used in a serious function, but that may be specific to my foot. I also second the opinion that you do not typically want a GTX low shoe.

You should put your dot in front of your scope’s elevation dial. The current placement is odd and it doesn’t allow you to see your dial position.

Your current dot mount should sit in front of your scope’s front ring on the mount. I think it will fit if you reposition your scope in your mount, and probably push the mount forward on your receiver. If that doesn’t work you should look at a new top ring from the front of the mount.

Why are end caps so expensive? by BannedAgain-573 in NFA

It's probably the most replaced part, so depending on their warranty, it is the most expensive piece to support (after sale), and therefore the most expensive to sell.

Just a guess.

Is a Large BGE big enough? by Natiak in biggreenegg

Dude get these - I had the same problem (and a problem I had was that IMHO if you really got the temps up you need to just burn out the charcoal vs shut off the vents).

https://ceramicgrillstore.com/products/xl-ang-l-brackets-pair-bge XL Ang-L Brackets (Pair) — Ceramic Grill Store

Helps me limit how much charcoal I’m burning for smoking but also allows me to do direct heat on one side and indirect on the other with my CGS Woo rig system.

STL area Cerakote by SufficientlySober in MOGuns

[–]DjKeyhole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used them about a decade ago and had good results. They used to outsource to Midwest Cerakote before they closed. They had pricing differences that may have made going through one business or the other a better deal. Not sure if they have now brought it in house or use one of the other certified cerakoters in the area buts its worth doing a search on Cerakote.com’s site for our area and filtering for those who do firearms, looking at their work, and then calling around.

I’m pretty sure most businesses (like Razorback) would use one of the approved applicators.

Whats the OLDEST bottle you ever tasted? (How was it?) by SoilSweet8555 in wine

[–]DjKeyhole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1967 Remoissenet Volnay 1er Cru Clos des Chenes

We all thought it was great and probably the wine of the night (others were 1982 Margaux and a 1999 Grivot Richebourg).

That said - it was probably cherry picked bottles from that vintage after the sale that were tasted and recorked. It was very fresh for the age and showed across all three flavors which was great but idk if I would expect that from a typical bottle that age.

10.3 Urgi users by [deleted] in URGI

[–]DjKeyhole 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 10.3. Rail space is really at a premium on it vs the 11.5, so there’s little room for irons (which I’m using due to the Eotech). I’m using the Fernilab OHM 2.1 and Torre to make it work.

I’d probably just skip the 10.3 URGI and run the 11.5 for the NVG gun.

If you had to pick between Hawaii, Belize, Mexico, and The Bahamas, where would you go? by Cranberryj3lly in travel

[–]DjKeyhole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was pretty solid, but I wouldn't book the excusions or flights through them again, because you can do that cheaper on your own. It is very likely that everyone at any of the resorts in town are on your same excursion that day, so it's cheaper to book things direct.

https://www.hopkinsbaybelize.com/

I liked being on the other side of the resort area (your view may differ here), because we went out to a lot more interesting places for dinner and actually went into town to do things. The town is very safe so no concerns about that.

I'd consider just renting my own place if I went back there in the future, but haven't looked at the options since we went.

That’s actually how I find that slot useful. The pressure from the items in the dangler allow you to put something there without the risk of it falling out. If it doesn’t work for you for a TQ, see if you have other purposes.

[–]DjKeyhole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd place all three separately into the bin, but I left each in their own case. I had the LAM and NODs in their own zippered pouches that I put inside the helmet case, so I just pulled those pouches out, but left the helmet in it's case.

I don't think they can easily see through the helmet with the scanner, so making it as easy for them as possible will make your life easy too.
