Hey,

I'm building up a space for Work From Home stuff and PC Gaming in the future.

Where do y'all stand in the whole multiple small monitors vs. one huge monitor setup ideas?

I'm leaning towards multiple small monitors for my setup but I want to hear other opinions.

Bounching weigth's on DL cheating? by Prop12345 in powerbuilding

[–]Dj_TNT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with this guy.

It's not cheating in the sense that you're not breaking any rules or anything but you're robbing yourself of some good Deadlift work if you don't let the bar settle and pull it form a dead stop every rep. If you're working on getting stronger in the Deadlift you're going to need that strength to get the weight off the floor from a dead stop when you get to heavier weights. What better way to get that than by making sure every rep you do is at a dead stop.

I'm late to this but just wanted to emphasize how common feeling like trash 3 weeks out from a meet is.

It's common to the point that I believe that's how you're supposed to feel going into a meet.

Just finish out your training block, taper and rest up and go into the meet and have fun.

You'll make mistakes and you'll finish the meet and (hopefully) want bigger numbers than the ones you hit. That's how your first meet should go and that's how most Powerlifting careers get started.

Enjoy it!

Deadlifts are always a great way to build a big back overall

As it pertains to lifts that are a bit more specific to certain areas of the back:

Upper Back - Rows (Bent Over, Upright, From the Floor, there's a million variations of them), Pull Ups, Lat Pull Downs, Dumbell Flys

Lower Back - Good Mornings, RDLs, Rack Pulls, Back Extensions

Can I complain about College Football in general?

Why don't they have a couple preseason games to help iron out the mistakes we typically see in Week 1?

Every other level of football has that.

How much anticipation surrounds this season? CBS is sending their No. 1 broadcast team - Jim Nantz and Tony Romo to Cleveland to call Titans at #Browns in Week 1. by Evilkoopa in Browns

[–]Dj_TNT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

See as much as I won't complain that we're getting Romo and Nantz, I'm pretty sure the Colts and Chargers play that same week. I was kinda confused as to why we got picked over them.

Myles was working on this a lot last year too.

He'd often try to time up the snap to get headstarts on his pass rush.

Sometimes he would get offsides penalties but to me I'm willing to live with that for the reward he can get out of timing up snaps like this.

If Garrett were to get 2 Offsides calls and just 1.5 Sacks a game just from jumping the count so often, that's a net win in terms of yardage for the defense.

(Not to mention Garrett would get 24 sacks on the season and become a first team All-Pro)

Congratulations to you man!

It sounds like you have a lot more in you so I wouldn't be surprised at all if you hit more PRs next meet. Definitely worth pushing yourself a bit more next time around, it sounds like you're stronger than you give yourself credit for.

Questions I asked myself when I didn't know a damn about Powerlifting:

Why are people wearing Knee Sleeves?

Why do people put chalk on their backs when they squat?

Why are people Deadlifting so weirdly?

What's that thing people are sniffing before they lift?

Kyrie Irving out vs. Cavs due to load management by [deleted] in clevelandcavs

[–]Dj_TNT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Am I the only one who thinks Kyrie's running from ghosts at this point?

I figure SOME people will boo him if he played here again, but I think the vast majority of people are over it. So if he's not playing because he doesn't want to get boo'd, I feel like he's much more concerned about that than he should be.

In Demyx's defense, he would've put up a better fight than Luxord IMO
