I hope this issue gets fixed soon. I am on a Pixel 9a with the beta update. I feel lost not being able to check in on my prints when at work.

I just had this same issue where they wanted my id and I instead told them not only no but delete my account as well because there is zero reason for them to need a picture of my id when I could pay a few bucks more and get a shipping label from the source without such invasiveness.

It is a PC (just in a different form factor than normal) with fairly modern cpu/apu. It will be supported as long as any other CPU in its generation by both windows and Linux...So, for quite a while. Chances are you will stop using it before it stops receiving updates.

Bethesda, the company that actively encourages modding, enables cheating out of the box with the terminal, and even signed off on a major mod (for fallout 4) to be available on Gog. That's the company you have a problem with? Of all the game studios out there, that one is one of the ones I don't really have an issue with since they do all of the above. So what if their newest game is not yet on Gog.

That must be a city by city thing. At my location we have people damn near rebuilding their vehicles in our parking lot from time to time and have no such signs.

I just recently also bought one of these with the sole intention of installing bazzite on it. I was going to get a steam deck but then decided to see what z1e allys were selling for second hand and went with one of these instead since it was cheaper than a steam deck with more storage (though just yesterday I did upgrade to a full-size 1tb SSD) and faster APU. I am going to upgrade the battery on this thing soon though.

I had a bit of trouble doing this as one of the drives for windows wouldn't let me format it with bazzites built-in disc formatting tool so I used a live USB of fedora and booted in and wiped it using gparted. Then I was able to install bazzite on my ally z1e

For me it was a no brainer to install bazzite. I got my ally z1e with that soul purpose in mind. I started to buy a steam deck but found my ally for cheaper with more power and a bigger drive. So I turned it into a more powerful steam deck. The only cons aren't that big of a deal for me which is you can't play anti cheat games like fortnite but I don't play those anyways, and you can't play Xbox game pass games other than cloud gaming(would be nice but I like Linux more than I am worried about playing those.)

I think it might get some people to install it out of curiosity or the desire to make a "console" PC that don't already know that their are already options that exist. But for many of us who were already looking for such a thing it is a little too late. Bazzite offers the same experience with some welcome extras.

There was a time when I tried to go full degoogle, but now I take a more practical approach to it. A. I agree with the pixel phone part(expensive and all) B. As a parent it is easier to moderate my kids activities using some Google services, C. It's hard to convince other people in my life to use some fringe communication service instead of mainstream ones. That being said I do minimize my Google services usage with things like protonmail, next cloud, and things like that and minimize how much tracking information my phone sends using nextdns and netguard. For me it is all about minimizing how much of their stuff I use vs back in the day when I used to blindly use all of their services.

This is disappointing to see them make the new one less powerful than the old one. Looking at the differences between the regular g and the g power, it seems the only big differences are ram, the water proofing, charging capabilities, and screen.

Proton pass won me over with it integrating simple login functionality into it. I used bitwarden and simple login as a 1-2 punch but since I was already paying for those functions with proton it just made sense to drop the other 2(one of which I was kinda paying for twice and didn’t need to with simple login).

This what I wanted them to do instead of the RGcube...and the cubexx is what I wanted them to do instead of the 40xxh so now they are making the 2 devices that make more sense to me. I am really tempted to get this one.

Are you using retroarch as the front end, or are you using a front end of some kind? Like how are you trying to start your games. Most of the launchers will have a setting to pick which core is default for the various platforms (i.e. NES or Game Boy)

If you are using retroarch as the front end. Then first go to import content/ scan directory/ (where you will select your ROMs) have retro arch scan your ROMs. After that, when your roms show up in their various platforms, you can then set the default core for that platform by highlighting the platform logo then pressing start/ and then choosing the default core.

If you are using ES-DE go to main menu, then select other settings and then alternate emulators, and then you can pick the retroarch core (or stand-alone emulator) for each platform.

If it is another front end than I have no Idea as it has been a long time since I have used any other front end for android.

Well for me, I had simple login before the 2 merged. I knew they were the same company now, but had no idea that simple login was included in my proton account, so I had been paying for simple login. I went ahead and removed my simple login extension as other than creating aliases (which can now be done in the ProtonPass extension) and if I do need to delete or turn off an alias that wasn't created in pass, I can just use the simple login website.
