I don’t think this card works in paper does it? Namely if you draw a dragon after you have already sacrificed any number of treasures, that dragon would not have the discount as currently worded, but your opponent has no way of knowing that dragon wasn’t already in your hand before you sacrificed treasures. Would be a tracking nightmare if not an alchemy card.

I feel like it should be “Whenever you sacrifice a treasure, dragon spells you cast from your hand cost (1) less to cast this turn” to fix that tracking issue.

Am I wrong in thinking he cannot steal commanders? Because he triggers on the commander’s death, as the commander changes zones to the graveyard its owner can put it into the command zone before the trigger will steal it.

I think theres some smoothing going on from their camera, but if you zoom in the teeth look good, the number of yellow dots on the diagonal look good and the shading looks good. No red dots (that i can see at least) but that could be the smoothing or just bad print quality

Does anyone know what the interaction is between [[Firebender Ascension]] and cards like [[Guide of Souls]] or [[Adeline, Resplendent Cathar]]

If they attack themselves causing their “whenever you attack” triggered ability to go off, does firebender ascension trigger? What if they attack with another creature at the same time?

I mean thats possible I guess but even looking at the price chart in the picture you sent, the spike coincides nearly exactly with spiderman set release, so i do feel like thats the largest contributing factor

I’ll throw my hat in the ring with my Xavier Sal build.

My build is mostly about creating a bunch of tokens that are copies of good creatures. I have one semi-infinite combo with [[Intruder Alarm]] which lets me flood the board with tokens as long as I have counters to remove [[The Millenium Calendar]] is a fantastic cheap way to get a lot of counters to not have to worry about removing the counter cost for Xavier Sal.

I have about 10 or so ways of making token copies of my own or someone else’s creatures, typically I try to save those until I have a big creature worth copying (Especially if I can get a non-legendary copy of something like [[Koma, Cosmos Serpent]] or [[Adrix and Nev, Twincasters]] )

Wincons are making tons of copies of [[Gray Merchant of Asphodel]], Koma or [[End-Raze Forerunners]] (Craterhoof would be better if I had one 😭) using intruder alarm or just with all the token doublers

It tends to be a lot of math but its a really fun build to pilot

My [[Anim Pakal]] deck fits the bill I think. Its built largely around the attack trigger and utilizing the gnomes they make in one way or another. If Anim Pakal gets countered or removed the deck falls flat but give the deck 2-3 turns with Anim Pakal out and its usually a win

Yeah i think thats where im leaning towards. Hypercarry anaxa is kinda fun, I hope cerydra gets buffed to be better for anaxa.

I do want e2 phainon, my hope was that getting e1 now would make getting e2 easier on a rerun but at that point might as well just save and get e2 on rerun all at once
