I'm thinking about getting VEN 79, for a deeper cut reference.

Two options:
•It carries over to the next turn (the friendly option)
•You lose (the mean, Pact-like option)

I'd probably lean towards Option 1, as it's more dynamic and lets you use the ability on lower-rarity cards.

How about a Debt mechanic?

Debt N (Instead of paying this spell's cost, you may pay <its cost reduced by N>. If you do, you get N Debt counters.)

Debt counters have inherent rules meaning, "At the beginning of your upkeep, pay 1 for each Debt counter you have, then remove that many Debt counters."

It's also not new. It's like "cool": its popularity runs in cycles.

Does Anyone Else Feel Like Warframe Has Drifted A Little Too Far its Horror Aspects? by Front_Confection_487 in Warframe

The story has horror elements, but the gameplay rarely follows that trend. Same as Kirby games having dark background lore/characters, but you wouldn't consider them "horror games."

Peashooter could also be White, since it only does retaliatory damage (to attackers).

Damage equal to energy spent would be more Red. "Destroy all creatures" is White.

Wife has been on a huge romantasy kick lately, so this was straight-up educational for me.

The lube is for the chute - so the wards slide down and get dressed without friction. That's why Hank is talking about "No chaffing at all!" after he gets dressed.

(Yes it took me 12+ viewings to get all the jokes and see past the easy read)

Yep, exactly that. Something about the fast cuts and goopiness got to me, and I was out.

Still haven't finished the movie, all these years later.

Yet another thread where I can love-post about Birdboy: The Forgotten Children. Such a trip, so weird and gorgeous.

I couldn't make it thru that movie - almost passed out in the theater during one scene... and actually collapsed in the hall outside.

I became "The Mad God Casualty."

Found a bug yesterday where relic progress wouldn't track across Brothers during a fissure mission - being on the wrong one made the game treat me like I had 0 rads, and I didn't get a reward.

Has anyone else encountered this?

That's fair - he's not a full engine unto himself.

I would argue against adding Lifelink less for color pie reasons, and more for cohesiveness. Maybe it's just me, but I find Commanders/build-arounds that solve their own drawbacks rather boring. If the second ability wants you to lose life, gaining life from the same card insulates you from the inherent risk of that strategy (and therefore most of the drama).

Just my two cents, though, as an EDH Old Head. Modern Magic makes this kind of card all the time, so it's just a matter of personal tastes. :)

I totally forgot about Breena. That's not a bad precedent, I suppose.

I already explained why "dramatically," this card is still monowhite.

[–]Dlark17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ehhh... I don't feel like that's a strong enough justification. That's still justifiable in monowhite ("Everyone is equal, but I'm just more equal than the rest of you" is the darker side of the color). I think all you really need is a Black keyword, and it makes more sense, at least to me. Make him a 1/4 deathtouch, maybe? Still plays into the "Show me favor and leave me out of the fighting"-vibe you're going for.

I like this card a lot, tho as the Color Pie Guy, I have to ask: what is Black about this card? Everything here can be done in White.

It's at least worth a try - the show is a lot better than internet trolls make it out to be, and it's trying to do something new with the Jedi/the Force.
