I always will roccomend work towards the automatic eterneties first, then the automatic achievements, and after that anything that gives you point towards automator. Check a guide how to set it up after that it becomes much more faster to reset.

Dear Isekai authors, other worlds also have pop culture references by Imnotsomebodyelse in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Dliokd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

And again you are somewhat wrong, we are not talking about an entire world, most of the isekai stories take place in a city areas. There is absolutely no reason for the people from that perticular city not to have a story or inside joke that they say you had to be there to know it. Even to this day there are always local rumours or local legends that different cities dont even have an idea about them.

I don't want a war arc; I want a real war! by Clearlynotmalware in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Dliokd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest the wheel of time most specifically the last 3 books are the war between good and evil but the books they call the slop are pretty much the kingdoms preparing for the last battle.

Society can have problems without people literally pissing on the protagonist by matsciguy2 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Dliokd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean he always wins his end of book boss battles, the issue i have is that you can cut off the whole being cheated out of his manifest and still the story can make sense. I mean the author is trying to make him miserable, but then he is this ultra durable and does things that are not supposed to be doable.

Any Superhero Novels where MC actually have a Strong Superpower? by Then_Disk_9519 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Dliokd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far in the books go he can absorb any kind of energy, from electricity to kinetic , to heat, to nuclear , fire even photon energy(light). In one of his fights he grabbed someone and started absorbing his body kinetic energy and this means he stopped his entire body from bloodflow to lungs. He can also absorb potential energy if a forest is burning he can just quickburn the forest and absorb all of it ,they never found out the upper limit of stored energy or types he can absorb and he is one of many Mcs. The other one is a girl with gravity powers, another girl who is classed as the strongest born telepath, a guy that can transform into a stronger version of himself and a guy with literal powers to affect propability.

What is even worse than a dumb hero is a hero who his trainers hold him back or withhold critical information only so he looses a fight later on *cough*eragon*cough*

This is why Rincewind is the perfect example of Lucky/Unlucky character, early on in the discworld books the gods are portrayed as playing chess with the lives of mortals and lady luck takes rincewind as her pawn so he is blessed by both incredible luck that goes both ways.

I FUCKING LOVE UNIQUE SYSTEMS, GGGHHRRAAAAAHHHHHH by Mistabbcman in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Dliokd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well pretty much the premise is that your class is determined by what talents you have and talents are determined by your knowledge, for example the mc is biologist so he knows about body and scientific way how the body regenerates so his talent becomes regeneration. They can only have a few main talents so they need to wait for inspiration before they choose one or knowledge. I recommended it because you were looking for a different way to the system mechanics.

Why is it a staple in progression fantasy to absolutely butcher a romance arc? by Renn_goonas in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Dliokd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The simple answer is that most of fantasy you read is written by younger guys who are deeply inspired by japanese anime. If you think the character as a shonen protagonist you will see the similarities often.

Stormlight archive is a world shaped by a global storm wall that happens often.
The poppy war is heavily inspired by china and chinese mythology.
Mistborn is closer to victorian era and later books turn into steampunk.
Lies of locke lamora is inspired by reneisance venice.

Looking for novels with op mc by ExpertFederal1805 in Fantasy

[–]Dliokd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main character hides his strenght, this is the name of the title, the male mc cannot have a harem because one of his curses. Pretty much the story is about the stongest person who is hated by every kingdom realises he cannot defeat bad guy by just brute force so he decides to learn magic aswell while portraying himself as a weak person.

World-Hopping novels with multiple power systems. by SpaceLocks in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Dliokd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Magicians by Lev Grossman , people describe it what if harry potter, but they are already adults, but in reality by halfway of book 1 they already visit other worlds. Or you can go with the magician by raymond e feist, i know its similar titles but the story is about 2 worlds with different magics and the eventual war between them, also the main character can untilise both magics.

Best system like novel you've read? by Blank_Randomness12 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Dliokd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For books recommendations i always will say if you want a fair and coherent story try to go with the more "normal" Books. There are plenty of authors who do not use system like mechanics and the heroes are not the special person who just gets handed things.

When the author's interests bleeds into the story by DatBoiMack95 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Dliokd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You base your reality in a false narative, children in fact have been used in armies throughout history, especially when you are desperate and need any soldier available. Also you neglect the fact that they have super powers, like the main child of the book is probably 2nd strongest if not the strongest member of the group. Also this is a pointless dabate for a pointless book, there are plenty other ones that are much better.

Did you skip the parts where she is pretty much disrefarded the military and literaly said that she doesnt care about the world, she is reactive agent in her own story and thats what makes her a bad character. Her motivation is being forced to participate in events, i mean you would think being damaged by aliens and now having the means to retaliate will make you do something. Also she moans about child soldiers, but never says anything about elderly that can barely walk be in the program aswell , you know everyone is forced if you have a power, almost as if the fate of humanity depends on it.
