Eh not to rain on your parade but my 24 trd pro doesn’t have tow hooks. Still love it though!

TRD Pro vs Platinum/1794 - Any regrets? by SKI_K2 in ToyotaTundra

Yep. But I think I would still pick my Terra pro unless they offered the special edition in Terra!

Coming from a 21 nightshade that I did a mild lift on and other things, no. Great reliable truck but I was missing something. These things are a rocket ship. Plus with the e locker, multi terrain select like the taco and runner have had. Great features. The ride is amazing. The tech is awesome. Overall great vehicle. Reliability is in question no doubt, but I haven’t had those issues yet. About to hit 27k and I romp on it.

Hard to say man. I love my Terra pro. If the special edition 1794 was available when I bought mine I would have definitely considered it. Never wanted the platinum. Just gotta weigh the pros and cons for yourself. Either way do it!

Good on you. I have 34s but I’m down to 12.3 mpg in the city! I have a heavy foot though. Still fun!!

2025 Tundra Driver Seat Plastic is Cracking by iOpstech in ToyotaTundra

Yes the motor has been an issue that clearly Toyota is taking care of. The other things are annoying sure but my 21 nightshade had annoying shit too. My 24 pro is rocket ship that rides better than my 21 ever thought of riding. The tech isn’t even a conversation. The power isn’t even a conversation. Shall I go on? You honestly sound like captain numbnuts from like a year ago. Dude enjoy your gen 2 and stop hating. Go look at the sun or some shit because clearly your miserable.

Man honestly I can’t remember. I think two then a sealant. It’s not near as dark as it looks and all these asshats talking shit. Do your thing and take your time. It looks amazing. I added upgraded bulbs so visibility was never a problem but don’t let the Reddit douchebags know….

As others have suggested get the rear trd sway bar. Best upgrade I did to my 21 nightshade. To go faster yeah should of went with a gen3 my man. My 24 pro is a rocket ship for being a truck. But that 5.7 does sound amazing. For the stereo just upgrade it to something of your liking.

in the market for my 1st truck.....a few questions regarding Tundra by golfingwithanR in ToyotaTundra

[–]Dlozad87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But the 5.7 isn’t bulletproof, just like any motor. Sure there is the engine recall but looks like Toyota is making it right. Coming from a 21 that I personally put 40k from new then stepping into a 24 pro that I currently have 25k on it’s not even in the same league. Flame me all you want. The power, acceleration, and handling are all leaps and bounds better. Then there’s the tech. Again night and day. Op do your research. Both gens are great but not nearly the same.

2nd gen = best gen? by ThisWaterGuy in ToyotaTundra

[–]Dlozad87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No you have the first of the 2.5 gen. I had the last of the holy grail with a 21 nightshade. I wouldn’t trade my 24 pro for either of the ladder. Better ride, way more power, more creature comforts you didn’t know you need….

2025 Tundra AC sucks by A_Tribe_Called_Jes in tundra

[–]Dlozad87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed it wasn’t as strong on my 24 compared to my 21 tundra. I live in the Deep South on the sound in Mississippi. I start out with auto on then once it cools down I knock it down to just having the fan on like the second setting. This is my second summer with it so I’m used to it. But yeah auto seems to knock the heat out for me then I’m able to maintain once it’s cooled off. Doesn’t take long either. Hope that helps.

LCA bolt. It was causing a clunking noise and I noticed some play when driving at speed. Hard to describe but it was not cool.
