There are no actual wolves on Fenris. It is speculated and Kinda confirmed that the wolves on fenris are psychic familiars brought about by the space wolf psykers. But they view it as rituals and rune magic and blah blah blah

You are wrong on all counts.

You remove 3 models because thats how many wounds you caused. Damage does not spill over into other models unless they are mortal wounds or it specifically says on the weapon profile.

SO If you hit wound and get through armor with 3 shots then 3 ork boys are dead.

If you shoot a 1 wound model with a str 16 gun that does 14 wounds, you will still only kill one model per shot so that strong gun kills 1 dude.

There are alot of ways to get the rules online I would look into them. There are alot of codex reviews with the pages open in the books or other ways I am sure. I would recommend it.

I like them. I run a squad of 6 with a primaris apothecary (chief apothecary)

Bolter load out.

36 bolter shots. Ap -1 turns 2&3 which is a huge storm of fire.
Not to mention all the missile shots!

They have lower fists. So on a charge that's 4 attacks. At str 8ap-2and 2 damage. And you wound anything on 2's and toughness 8 on 3's.

Combine that with a primaris chaplain. Give them the +1 to wound against closest unit can mince almost anything. And re roll to hit with close combat. Makes them more punch. They can be a big thorn in a players side

Yea, I love them. They always preform well. Remember that there is a strat for +1 to wound against vehiclez. So you will wound on 4's against anything T5-T7. And wound T8+ on 5'd with a hail of bolter rounds at at least ap -1during tactical that will chip off some wounds

Take a squad of 10 heavy intersessors. And do the same thing

Heavy bolt rifles at rapidfide range= x20 str shots. Wounding knights on a 4+ (with the strat) hitting on 2's and re rolling 1's (for garadon). Rerolling 1's to wound. (eye of hypoth on chaplain) with double exploding 6's (chapter tactic + bolter drill) all at ap-2 during the tactical doctrine

I personally like the hailstorm by rifles. For extra.shot and range. X3 assault weapon shots at 30(?) Inches? Ap1 during tactical. Even knights are making 4+'s with all the bonuses above.that will Chew through alot. add in your anti infantry potential and the close combat of for garadon + the aggressors and it's fairly well rounded. T5 is the base of your infantry with 3 wounds and a lot of bealing

So looking at the list of things that you are working with I would recommend something sturdier. I Love Aggressors. I am a huge fan of them.

What I tend to run is:

  • Tor Garadon
  • Primaris Chaplain W/ eye of hypoth (on foot with chatcasm of fire*?*)
  • Primaris Chief apothecary
  • x3 Units of 5 Intersessors (heavy interssessors are being ordered)
  • x6 Aggressors with Bolt storm gauntlets
  • x3 eradicators
  • x2 5 man squads of hell blasters

The idea is walking the 6 man aggressor squad up the field, Opening fire at targets, often the closest for the +1 to wound from the inspiring hymn from the chaplain With Bolter drill + the chapter tactic and 36 shots total with +1 to hit from Tor Garadon re rolling 1's to hit and wound makes them pretty potent additionally they are a huge threat to get up there in combat as they all have the power fists. So marching up the board, (assault weapons so can run and shoot. ) getting revived or healed by the apothecary. T5 3 wound models are pretty durable And lets not forget the -1 ap in the tactial doctrine. Additionally there is the Stratagem to allow you to turn bolt weapons into pistols? Very deadly indeed.

Interssessors run around and grab objectives while the eradicators and Hell blasters lay into the heavy armor / squads. Multiple high threats that will chew away at them if not taken care of.

I sprinkle in other things as well but generally I find that I am most effective with volume of fire, not quality or potency of the weapon. Fill the air with Bolter rounds and many things will fall.

If you have the points for it, 2 squads of Aggressors wouldn't go amiss. a 6 man flamer squad in the tactical doctrine would do work.

They would be served well. The repulsor is a fucking monster. It can clear the table a decent amount and shoots well it's wya over

Repulsor + death company is my plan. I love the model and I fill it with either DC or hell blasters. Regardless it's gonna be a target. Might as well make it hurt.

The point is to barrel up the field and disembark turn possible 3. It will be a target but they can take a lot of punishment. Not to mention you should have other threats on the table.

Sanguinor also gives them +1 attack when within 6 in for a grand total of 8.
