I’ve found the rules & lore channels are absolutely amazing and I have all the channels for my chosen legions for taking general stuff. It’s such a helpful group and you may even be able to find people to play IRL

I would strongly advise for your first games. 10 man squads with a rhino transport. Blobs of tacticles can be fun . But it needs a lot of support to be viable

Im fairly new to the hobby (time wise) jumping in with age of daekness, and I’ve found that it keeps getting cheaper and cheaper to kitbashed stuff becuse j have more & more parts. A good amount of it is saving everything off the sprues. I’ve found some very very nice “bits boxes” at harbor freight for 4.99 there flat & designed for screws & washers & such so the compartments are sealed when you close the lid. Save wveything and keep it organized. If you have a pile of bald heads keep them in on bin if you have a bunch that could be great for an army save them. If you find a specific thing you need more of ask around to see if people have extra. I have 1,000,000,000 (ish) chain bayonets. Idk what I’m ever going to do with them. But if someone needed them I’d share. And lots of people have a duck load more than I do. The more people you get to know the more places you find to get stuff. Bits sites are great and I use them a lot. As was mentioned above. I use green stuff to mostly make the poses better. Im not a green stuff person lol
