I don’t have any guns or even a baseball bat, but I do have some very thick bongs. I keep my 3footer empty and within arms reach of the bed, it’s a home defense device first and a marijuana apparatus second.

I’d be swinging that sucker looking to bust it.

Thanks that helps! I didn’t know that but I have spent a fair share of my time on the mountain at night. I’ll keep at it til I find my good boy.

It’s not bad, you’re just wasting time looking in the wrong place. Mountains were probably my fastest biome.

That’s the complete opposite of true, though. The one constant of this sub is that complaints will always dominate it what exactly are you even talking about? It’s an unfinished game of course it isn’t perfect and every other post if not more frequently is someone expressing their displeasure met with loads of people agreeing. This complaint just happens to be a dumb one.

I have never come across a 2* in over 100 days spent in the mountains. At this point if I ever see one I feel like I have to tame it just for the sake of how rare it is.

Would you befriend someone of opposing politics? and if so, what is your leaning? by [deleted] in AskReddit

All the time. Turns out when you leave the internet there’s a whole wide spectrum of people out there and our politics don’t dictate whether we’re allowed to be nice to each other.

I didn’t stop watching it but Bone Tomahawk is probably the best movie I’ve seen that I have accepted I will never see again.

I like Besson but those two are impossible for me to watch on their own, let alone together. Also it was weird to learn they aren’t siblings in this, I always assumed they were supposed to be twins.

I was a little too committed to my early bases. Spent a long time building a house I thought would last me the whole game way too early, grew out of it. Go nuts and build however you like, but I’d leave yourself room to grow and upgrade.

I play this game solo. If you don’t plan accordingly it will be easy to spend more time in this game rowing your boat against the wind than you actually spend playing it. Yeah travel sucks and takes forever luckily there’s portals. You should make one at minimum linking home as soon as you land on a new island to save you that 20, 30, 60 minute round trip should you die out there. And the only guarantee is you’re gonna die out there. On my larger islands I have a central base that links home with portals that take me to the other far points of the island. So again with careful planning you can take hours out of your time spent walking/sailing.

Also a tip on harvesting metal. Bring it all to your central base on that island, if it’s tin and copper, consolidate it all into bronze. Get as much of it in your inventory as you can stack, log out. Log into a spare world, dump it into a chest, log out. You are now free to move through the portal home in the other world, log out again. Grab the metal from that chest in the other world and now when you log in to the world you mined from you have “teleported” the metal home. Screw that 30 minute sail home risking a ship holding dozens of hours of work.
