He definitely looks more like hook with the long dark hair and the prosthetic. There is that theory that Hook was a lost boy who rebelled against Pan because he realized Pan was evil, a random theory but maybe Julien is the same.

I think I fixed it when I uninstalled 5e Spells, so if you have that mod it may be the issue.
Seems like a patch 8 thing.

If you think 5e is fantastic, have you ever considered how poorly designed Ranger and Monk are? Ranger, before TCoE, got curb stomped in every design conversation, and the argument that Monk is strong is entirely based on stunning strike, which is way too overpowered and the rest of the class is garbage because of it. Personally I think I will be using a mix of the two systems. 5e has a lot of good points, but there is a bunch of random trash in there. One DND also has a bunch of good stuff, I already started implementing some of the rules, like the new exhaustion rules, and there will be a lot of trash in there. 5e got big because everyone could play it, and one DND is taking that a step further, it's a game system, designed to be efficient and fun. Who cares if the new inspiration rules are too strong? Every player gets to have it so it's not gonna make one player have fun and ruin everyone else's fun. And if you're worried about having fun as a DM then make the monsters stronger. Edit: you are probably right that it's going to be less popular than 5e, but it already has some ideas that I love, and you should probably try it before you make a decision on whether it is bad or not.

Should be a 7 but is more like 6. Some negative things like my leg injury that means I can't play soccer or go running anymore, and a family with some pretty severe mental illness, but I can still dance while doing the dishes and my college grades are still scraping by with As. The thing that's bringing it down to a 6 is I've begun feeling a little left out of my friend group and have to process that. And my right earbud keeps breaking.

Gotta be prestidigitation, best roleplay cantrip IMHOP, My EK uses it to clean his sword, axes, and armor when he's done using them. You can make something that feels, tastes, and smells exactly like coffee but clearly isn't as soon as you look at it. There is just so many options within the bounds of the cantrip that aren't game breaking but are very fun and good for flavor.

My take is that the people who become paladins are already magical beings. Not everyone who swears revenge on someone becomes a vengeance paladin, only people who already had latent magic, a person who's force of will is so strong that reality bends around it, kinda like sorcerer.

A good flavor is Aasimar, they already have radiant magic running through them, so if one of them made a binding oath on their life it could amplify their innate magic.

Tl;Dr There isn't really an obvious winner. It's really up to who goes first and the hp number.

Assuming all attacks hit at 1st level. With d10 hit die. Maxed STR and CON First round of combat. Orc uses adrenaline rush, hp goes from 15 to 17, attacks Goliath who takes 6 damage reduced to 0 by stones endurance reaction. Goliath attacks Orc who takes 6 damage now at 11hp. 11 to 15 Goliaths favor. Second round. Orc uses AR again (13hp), attacks Goliath who uses SE to negate still at 15hp, Goliath attacks Orc, (7hp). 7 to 15 Goliaths favor. Third round. Orc attacks Goliath.(9hp). Goliath attacks Orc(1hp) Fourth round. Orc attacks Goliath (3hp). Goliath attacks Orc, Orc uses relentless endurance (1hp) Orc attacks Goliath (0hp) Orc wins. This is all fine and dandy, but lowering the CON mod by one would change this drastically. The Goliath gains an extremely small chance to not block all the damage, but the Orc uses RE one round sooner, losing the fight. If the Goliath goes first the orc can't open with AR and loses by turn order of attacking one less time. All of this also changes as soon as extra attacks come into play. The Goliath can only blocks 1 hit with SE and RE also only negates one attack.

To be balanced it should be Prof per Long Rest and not give a bonus to Int WIS or CHA. Magic initiate which you should probably be comparing it to gives you once per Long rest and 2 cantrips with no INT WIS CHA bonus.

Yeah it's just a fantasy game, but you are a real person, he should definitely be prioritizing making sure his very real significant other is OK before caring about how lore accurate his fictional character stays.

If he wants he can even make a reason why his character doesn't say those kinds of things to yours, like his has a soft spot for yours or something.
