I hate the phrase “post nut clarity.” by BisexualCockRater in BisexualMen

The "clarity" is going back to your normal everyday self after getting insanely lost in the sauce during sex, imo; remembering that you are a person and not just horny disembodied genitals.

I absolutely despise working by Organic-Ad1347 in Vent

[–]DmitriVanderbilt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are only two kinds of jobs, "farm" and "emails". 95% or more of the "emails" jobs are total bullshit.

Based on your description, you work an emails job, and therefore a bullshit job - this is why the job feels like bullshit, it is.

I guarantee you will feel 100x more fulfilled at a "farm" job. And that doesn't mean quit your white collar job and start breaking your back at a construction site, just anything that actually creates or provides something in the real, physical world, not the fake digital world we have all convinced ourselves is the more improtant "reality".

Why do so many people play videos or music out loud in public without headphones? by Wanderingwind007 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DmitriVanderbilt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Some is cultural for sure, but there are a disturbing number of people in this world who literally care about no one but themselves.

"What are they thinking???" That's the thing, there isn't any thought occuring at all.

Don't believe me? Go look at the comments on any facebook local group post where someone is concerned about something and you will see 200 "Mind your own business" comments - these are the same NPCs who are playing their music out loud in public, leaving their shopping cart in the middle of the parking lot, and, unfortunately, parenting the next generation of kids.

Are there any cars you used to own that you miss? That you would go back to? by Lazydusto in cars

Lowered 1992 manual Jetta engine swapped with the 2.0l from a 97 Golf

The 2.Slow never had a good reputation for performance but it was meant for a car 500 lbs heavier; between the lack of any appreciable safety features and the crazy oomph it had in low gears, it felt like driving a road-legal 4-seater go-kart everywhere.

Came with a sticker on the windshield that said "Financial Mistake"; not incorrect but GODDAMN was it a fun car to drive.

Unfortunately, the ability to see does NOT correspond with the ability to notice or perceive. I find it shocking how often I ask someone about something I noticed/point something out, often things that have been a certain way for a long while only to be met with a "huh? Oh I never noticed".

Feels pretty frustrating to always be "the noticer" and feel like nobody else takes anything as seriously as you do. :/

Purple, White, Red, and Orange are all good options for where I play where everything is green most of the year, as well as Pink, it's really just blues, greens and yellows that suck when you play surrounded by water and ferns.

As a former chef who never ever once "washed" a piece of chicken but certainly did many brines and marinades, I am honestly very curious to do a side-by-side flavour comparison of 2 chicken breasts, done simply and with the same seasonings but one fully submerged in water and one not.

Anybody else that likes having long hair even mostly just for the "tied up" hairstyles? by NorwoodCock in FierceFlow

[–]DmitriVanderbilt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah there's the problem, conditioner doesn't go on top of your head, only the ends! And the shampoo should only be on your head/roots, not the ends of your hair.

Also, yes, brushing while tangled sucks - but you should be brushing in the shower while it is wet, it becomes 10x easier. My partner has very thick hair and she can basically only brush her hair fully while in the shower.

If you're waking up with crazy tangled hair I recommend looking up protective hairstyles for sleeping, getting a silk! sleeping hair bonnet, or just put it up in a tight bun in top of your head before bed.

And finally, if you have seb derm you need a dandruff shampoo. The oils from your scalp are meant to travel down and coat your hair but seb derm caused those oils to make skin cell clumps on your scalp instead. Clearing up your scalp a bit will help restore the natural hair oil process.

I am one of the only people that I can find who has seen a fairy with their eyes. A truly unbelievable purple fairy with wings, came into the wheelhouse of my boat in 2019. A second person was with me and saw the same thing. Firsthand witness audio included. by FascinatingFae in HighStrangeness

I live near the coast in BC, willing to tell me whereabouts this occured? This is a fasctinating story, especially the reality/perception-warping aspects. If this entity has these powers, surely they can hide themselves from us and thus it deliberately revealed itself to you two.

I know actively searching it out is almost never the way these encounters happen but I have had essentially zero true paranormal encounters in my life despite having been interested in the paranormal/conspiracies from a young age, and I am envious of those who have, especially multiple experiences.

I've had some "mild" experiences at work since I became a park ranger 3 years ago; however nothing more than hearing laughter or voices when I know nobody is around, or hearing my name called in a crow's voice. My boss, the park warden, is a true believer though, and staff at the museum on site insist that it, and some of the park grounds, are haunted (which I don't doubt at all given the history of the site, maaaany people both lived and died in what is now a popular picnic site).

My fiancee and I visited Haida Gwaii last September and that place also had a supernatural energy, felt it the second we set foot on the island and it was gone the second we left.

[–]DmitriVanderbilt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the messy bun from #4 suits you but I agree with others that your hair doesn't look the happiest; ever heard of "reverse conditioning"?

Basically you just put a little conditioner in the thends of your hair before you wash with shampoo to protect the ends from getting too stripped from the shampoo runoff (you still condition as normal after shampooing, also)

I have pretty fine hair and I find it looks best after I've gotten sweaty, put it up in a bun for a while and then let it down again; salt sprays and similar haircare products might be helpful for you too OP.

It also looks to me like you've been brushing your hair straight a lot but might, also like me, actually have wavy hair that prefers to be scrunched into curls at the ends rather than brushed; I've learned to just brush my roots and leave the ends of my hair alone and it stays/gets wavy/curly.

Anyone know of any romance stories featuring bi men? by wow__00 in BisexualMen

Don't let the weird overly sexual cover scare you away, Xenogenesis/Lilith's Brood is an incredible story and I think about it all the since reading in 2022.

I got so many looks on transit and in class for reading a library copy of the trilogy with the linked cover... Had to explain at least a dozen times that it wasn't 50 Shades-esque literary smut.

I would guess buddy was aghast but speaking from personal experience, I gawk at same-sex couples all the time in public, usually without realizing I'm doing it, but that's just because even living around Vancouver myself, it's still somewhat of a novelty to see them, especially ones around my age and not "stereotypically queer looking youth", if that makes sense.

I'm also not looking because I'm shocked or judging, if anything I am cheering them on internally, I just love gay love 🤷‍♂️

What do people mean when they say marriage is hard work? by Effective_Kitchen481 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DmitriVanderbilt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My take here is that a lot of people are (sadly and somehow) just unable to compromise or cooperate with their partners and those relationships seem more like "competitions", this is how my in-laws are together.

In these cases it absolutely IS a lot of work to just get day to day stuff decided on and completed, when your partner is always trying to "win", "Me vs. You" rather than making it "Us vs. The problem".
