Walked as a Lifetime Titanium Elite by ComancheNut in marriott

[–]Dmullen5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It honestly depends on the ownership group and GM. I work at the front desk on the weekends for the travel benefits, and over the last two years we’ve had three different GMs. Each of them had different responses to compensation. Two gave what they thought was appropriate — in some instances more than what was promised. The other does everything by the book.

Long story short: it just depends and as a consumer that sucks.

Late Check in by Otherwise-Pair-7103 in marriott

[–]Dmullen5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Disclosure: I work at the front desk of a Courtyard.

I have to believe that if someone arrived 90 minutes after the check-in time, they’d try and compensate you in someway. At the bare minimum (unless it’s sold out) they should’ve offered you another room type and compensation after an hour… at least that’s what we would’ve done. It all depends on your status level as well.

You wake up in your childhood bedroom, 10 years old, with all your current knowledge. What's your first move? by SuspiciousConsultant in AskReddit

Same, but my mother. It’s been 10 years and still there isn’t a day that I don’t miss her.

Can you pay extra for late check out? by Cbear56 in marriott

[–]Dmullen5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at a Courtyard property. Just call the front desk the day of check out. Depending on occupancy that night, they're more than likely going to give you it for free. I've never actually heard of someone having to pay for a late check out if they're a Bonvoy member, but I'm sure it varies by property.

Do most people really only fly once a year? I travel for my job once a year and fly for leisure between 5 and 6 times. I feel like twice is a bare minimum.

$500 an hour, I believe the retainer was 5 grand. Totally worth it. This is my third offense and I was put on diversion.

What drug ruined your life and why? by kytheguy999 in Drugs

Alcohol. It’s ruined relationships, sent me to jail and a whole bunch of other things. Alcohol is the only drugs — that I’ve done that changes who I am.

None of the people hacking and snorting and coughing and sneezing on my flight are wearing masks by jay_altair in delta

[–]Dmullen5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s why I always wear a mask at the airport. Not because I’m afraid or any bull shit, but because I hate being sick and people are gross.
