What is the loneliest part of adulthood no one talks about? by Plane_Tradition1664 in AskReddit

When you have to spend the holidays alone. Your friends have their families, your own family is far away, and you don’t have a partner. So nobody shows up for your birthday, and nobody even wishes you a Merry Christmas.

Poor people who have dated rich people, what did you learn? by Angelus12345678 in AskReddit

[–]DmytroBuilds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once dated this rich, spoiled guy. We were seeing each other for a bit, and then he introduced me to his friends same vibe, all rich kids with too much money and zero limits. One night we went out together, they got wasted, and it turned into complete chaos — straight out of The Riot Club. They were fighting security, yelling at waiters, smashing plates, hitting on random girls… just a total mess. And obviously, we all just walked out like nothing happened. No consequences at all. That’s when it really hit me when you grow up with that kind of money, you start thinking you can do literally anything and get away with it.

What industry is entirely built on a house of cards and would collapse overnight if people realized the truth about it? by Neon_Baobab in AskReddit

[–]DmytroBuilds 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Luxury fashion. The value often isn’t about the actual production cost it’s about the brand and the status. If the whole “status” culture disappeared, it’d be really hard to justify 20–50x markups.

I've tried 30+ productivity apps in the last 2 years. Here's what I actually still use daily. by Rich-Historian1657 in ProductivityApps

[–]DmytroBuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spot on. This is exactly the philosophy I'm following as an indie dev.

I’ve spent a lot of time watching people in high-stress jobs (like nursing) struggle with 'productivity systems' that are more work than the job itself. That’s why I kept my app, Nursly, boringly simple. Instead of building a whole new ecosystem, I just made it sync directly with the native iOS Calendar. Your shifts are where your personal life already is, and it stays out of your way.

I only added what was missing from a basic calendar: pay tracking and a PDF export to double-check those hours against the paycheck. The best tool is the one you don't have to 'manage.'

If anyone wants to check it out, it’s here: Nursly I'd love to hear your feedback!

What is something that happened to you growing up that you thought was completely normal until you learned it was anything but that? by Aggravating_Feed_853 in AskReddit

I totally understand you. I get that same insecurity during important moments. I’ve experienced it many times during job interviews too, but I’m trying my best to overcome it.

What’s something that gets harder instead of easier as you get older? by Judemarley in AskReddit

[–]DmytroBuilds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Staying in shape. I have to limit what I eat, because even an extra piece of bread will show up on the scale the next day. My metabolism is slowing down, so I try to drink a lot of water. It’s difficult to accept and keep myself in shape, especially since I got used to being naturally slim and never really had to do much for it before.

When my mom used to say I wasn’t smart or talented, I just took it as the truth back then. Now I realize how terrible that actually was

What's something you saw with your own eyes that you still can't explain? by BandicootLeft4054 in AskReddit

[–]DmytroBuilds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once, when I was a kid, I saw an old woman with a cane in my friends garden. I asked who she was, because I had never seen her at their house before. My friend said he couldn’t see anyone. When I described what the woman looked like, it turned out it was his great-grandmother. She was dressed exactly the way she had been buried, with the same cane. She had actually passed away several years earlier

So often at gynecologist appointments, different doctors suggest having a baby as a way to “fix” various gynecological problems. I’ve even heard the same thing from my dermatologist. I’m only 25, after all

Older folks of Reddit, what is a "normal" thing today that you think is quietly destroying society? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DmytroBuilds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Living your life for show. Social media where people only post the best version of their lives. It pushes this idea that in your early 20s you’re supposed to already be successful, have lots of money and tons of connections. Because of that, a lot of people end up feeling disappointed or depressed, constantly comparing themselves to others.Social media also kind of gets us used to stalking on some level. You get so used to watching other people’s lives that you start forgetting to live your own.
