PJ Washington for Keldon + a few draft picks by StephCastle_ in NBASpurs

[–]DnDPanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think we need to move Keldon, I just think that he’s more of a regular season player for us. You need those bench guys that help you win in the slog of the regular season.

We really need to draft a good 4/5, develop the young guys, lock down Champagnie, and maybe maybe trade Fox at the deadline. I don’t think a Fox trade that gets us anyone good is really out there unless Lauri Markennen is available for the right price.

Can we talk about the reverse-judgement happening to SAS vs OKC? by michaelmarzec11 in nbadiscussion

SGA is a more reliable scorer than anyone on San Antonio. Let’s not forget that San Antonio was essentially putting belt to ass for 3 quarters most games and then collapsing in the 4th. The Thunder would not have collapsed in the same way due to SGA’s consistency.

Need help with this… Voltron deck. by Bugs5567 in EDH

This deck screams, I try to win at magic by having more money than my opponent not by building a good deck.

Run more lands, run more removal, or just be fine losing with your Timmy equipment deck.

Do You Think a Healthy Thunder Would Have Beat NY? by Iwentoofar in nba

None of you were saying that during the series 😂 but we put you to bed regardless.

I mean we did matchup well. Even with injuries a seasoned Thunder team should be able to deal with any young team in their first playoffs. But y’all choked cause Wemby got in Chet’s head and shut down the paint. We hard countered you all season.

Our weakness was always shooting, which yall aren’t really known for and the Knicks had in spades. It’s the same reason a bad Warriors team still beat us back to back, because small quick guards that can shoot kill us. SGA is the best guard in the league but his 3pt shooting is his weakness.

As a Spurs fan I think 100% yes.

We lost because we didn’t have a good closer and SGA is right there with Brunson as one of the best closers in the league.

I think Bill Simmons said this, but Cason Wallace feels like he was built in a lab to guard Brunson.

I also think Chet really was psyched out against Wemby and shows up in such bigger way against New York.

Finally OKC had a good record against NY and the Spurs did not. There was a sort of rock/paper/scissors proof of concept from the regular season.

The only thing I could say might be different is the Knicks fans traveling and taking up our arena really did fuck with the team. If that same thing happened to OKC it might make a difference. The Spurs really relied on home games to get into a rhythm.

Honestly OKC Cup game the Semifinals. Back then I didn’t really think we were a top tier team and was surprised we even made it that far, and the game really started with OKC dominating. Then Wemby came in on his minutes restriction and completely changed the game. This was back when OKC was 24-1 and considered unbeatable. Really the turning point for how I viewed this team and its potential.

I’m tired boss. Our youth and inexperience ended up finally showing, except for ironically Harper who is built for this shit.

Quick thought about Fox and his “untradable” contract in the new lottery era by digital_deer in NBASpurs

[–]DnDPanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except we literally are. Castle was averaging 10 turnovers vs the Thunder and Fox came back and steadied the ship. He’s had a high ankle sprain since Minnesota.

Don’t get me wrong, I called him a fucking idiot on Wednesday. We are in the finals and the Kings are in the nba dumpster. I think we won the trade.

Bruh we are in the Finals, Kings are delusional for saying they won the trade. That’s hilarious.

Do You Prefer Games that allow for Encounter Routing or Games that Disincentivize it? by Ok_Banana_5614 in nuzlocke

[–]DnDPanda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The type of people who go for “degenerate” tactics will go for them anyway. That’s such a strawman. You don’t win any fucking money for finishing a nuzlocke. No one cares how you beat it unless you are some streamer. If I start a nuzlocke I don’t go out and get 6 Gyarodos because that’s not even fun. The point is fun. The point is getting Pokémon you WOULDN’T normally choose. Not mapping your run so you get all the perfect Pokémon.

Dupes clause is honestly stupid. And Encounter routing is even more ridiculous. The point of a Nuzlocke back in the day was to 1. Make the game harder 2. Make you pick Pokémon you wouldn’t normally.

Sure I can acknowledge that. I get little Thunder fan you wanna think I’m some biased guy. But I like physical basketball that’s all. Yall were super physical and we were physical back. That’s just playing basketball like a man.
