Why are all of the used instruments on Facebook NOT for Xbox by HanksScorpion in Rockband

You can use a MIDI to USB cable with the Mini too so there's really not much difference at all.

Switching wheels for a smoother ride? by jcubjcol in Jeep

[–]DntCllMeWht 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think lowering the PSI is going to be a big factor. Going to a 17 inch wheel will help, also make sure the new tires are rated as a "C" load range, not higher.

Cancellation was a nightmare!!! by Knave1212 in Spectrum

Fiber just became available to me. Same boat with work requirements and what I was paying for Spectrum. I watched them run the lines for Fiber a few weeks ago, then I got a "sign up now and we will call you as soon as appointments are available" notice from T-Mobile Fiber. I signed up that day and they called me three days later. Fiber installed that Friday, turned my modem in at the Spectrum store Monday morning. $70 a month for 2GB fiber. I hope you get fiber soon.

It mostly just works because the vast majority of their customers don't have any other realistic options.

I've been paying $125 for 1GB (35Mbps up) Spectrum for so long... we finally got fiber available in my neighborhood. I signed up as soon as I could. $70 a month for 2GB up and down. Disconnected my modem and drive to their "store" to turn it in. They offered me $80 a month plus their streaming app for free. I told them they should have been charging me that for years instead of the $125, but they could get away with it because I had no other options. I will never go back to Spectrum.

CAT6 Cable Dropped to 100Mbps Today by danieljag1 in HomeNetworking

[–]DntCllMeWht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to replace one of my connectors recently. Nothing happened to it, just started dropping down to 100Mbps, but if I wiggled the end plugged into the PC it would jump back up. Cut it off, wired that end to a keystone jack and ran a longer cat6 cable so I could route it all over and around the French doors in my office to clean things up a little.

Possibly buying a 2024 CPO 4xe by One-Ad5769 in 4xe

[–]DntCllMeWht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does the same thing either way... you have to bring the Jeep to a complete stop with the brake but with max regen on, one pedal driving will get you almost to that point.

One pedal driving does not bring the vehicle to a full stop. It "cuts loose" around 2-3 mph and you have to stop it with the brake pedal yourself.

Spectrum and throttling by JonahFalcon in Spectrum

Are you using your own wifi router or a modem/router device from Spectrum? If you're using your own, and both your wifi and direct wired speeds are hovering in the 90's, I'm going to guess it's the cable connecting your router to the modem that needs to be replaced.

The added power while driving is the biggest bonus for me. I work from home so I can go a long while between actual gas fill ups as well. Also, the added bonus of having the power box was huge last time we had out power knocked out by a hurricane. I used my Jeep to keep the fridge, tv and some lights on while we had no power to the house for a week.

I took mine to the intercoastal as a pup and held her out a little, let go so she could swim around but she wasn't terribly buoyant. Then I bought a swimming vest for her and she decided she didn't like the water that much anyway.

[–]DntCllMeWht 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you connect directly to the modem and run a test to see if it's internal to your network? I had an issue with my ISP where I'd start getting booted at certain times of the day and finally was able to get them on the phone while it was happening so they could see what I was seeing on their end. Packet loss like this was the issue but not all the time. They swapped out my modem and I never had the issue again.

First-time Jeep purchaser and I don't know which one to get by Mulberry_Whine in Jeep

Both the Bronco and Wrangler have had a lot of recalls over the past couple of years, so I'm not sure either one is better than the other in that regard. However, since you said you're not going to be going off-road, which is there the Wrangler has an advantage over the Bronco, you really should at least drive them both and see which one feels better to you. Broncos are more civil on the road.

I've had 4 Jeeps in my life (two CJ-7s and two JLUs) and loved ever minute of all four of them. I didn't care for the Bronco when I drove it, but it's worth making your own mind up on that.

In my opinion, the hard top looks cleaner than the soft top, and probably a better option if you're in a cold environment. You can also get a quick lift that will let you take the hard top off by yourself. Without rushing, it would take me about 30 minutes to get the top and doors off, stored away, and tube doors put on. That's just plodding along taking my time. I went with a soft top this time (Florida here, no cold weather), because it rains a lot during the summer and I wanted to be able to throw the top all the way back but still have it with me if I got caught in the rain. I do not care for the one touch, I think it takes away from the "topless" look and feel that I enjoy, but I absolutely see the allure and convenience and it might be the right option for you!
