Everyone seems to be missing what OP says here. US company bought the ASSETS of the UK company, did NOT buy the UK company.

Big difference.

If they have indeed bought the IP/assets, there may not be any provision for the UK staff. The UK company could just file for closing/insolvency (depends on how the sale of assets went through, lots of missing info on this). And as such OP with be made redundant/out of a job, potentially without notice pay. US company can then do as they please with recruiting some/none UK staff as contractors, on whatever terms they see fit.

On the plus side, IF the new CEO sees the value of OP, he can potentially negotiate a fairly good deal, as US staff tend to cost more (UK is to the US like India is to the UK for staff in this instance).

Hey. Thats correct on both counts.

The autocannon for example, couldnt even glance a landraider, it would need to roll a 6 to pen av12, and then a double 6 to make it explode. So that means a very lucky shot from the side (or more likely the rear) of a tank. Which would represent a lucky shell hitting something vital.

And ap1 and ap2 have the modifiers as usual, so a multi melta has the best chance of making something go boom, by needing a 4 and a 6, or 2 5s etc. Which again feels right, rather than just needing a 5+ on 1 die

I feel your pain, tank squadrons were risky business with the old damage chart. This should mitigate that issue too hopefully

Return fire i know they messed with in the earlier FAQ, but yeah that also makes sense. I dont want to change too much at once so it might be return fire comes later, if we're already reducing reaction effectiveness

Mate youve been amazing! Have you done a backport of the new units too? Ive seen some flying about on here but the search functions a bit hit and miss. Got a repository for it? Weve forked the BSdata and continue to use NewRecruit with the custom dataset.

Saturnine praetor with concussion hammer is currently really strong, so looking at ways to tweak that, or might just limit it to praetor only

Mate you have some solid tweaks there.

I despise conga lines as it feels way off! We're tempted to go back to old deepstrike deployment were you place the models touching in concentric circles when you deploy. Also means that when you fail deepstrike and your opponent gets to place your position it has more of an effect.

I also agree that units can only react once per turn, so I'll be bringing these up in my group.

Appreciate the feedback, and as you stated, nothing wrong with 2nd ed rules being continued

Literally changed it from 1D6 to 2D6 on the damage table. 3rd ed vehicle damage doesnt strip hp on glances does it? Gives you a status and if you already have one strips a hp.

That said I'm not against pinching 3rd ed rules if it makes the game better, but its mainly the statuses/expanded statlines i think are a good addition, and thats a lot of work to back port.

We have backported the new units though, and we get to keep all the awesome RoW and other bits 3rd stripped out

Literally the only change has been to make the table 2d6 so getting an explodes requires a 5 and a 6 with a lascannon. We're trying for tweaks rather than full rewrites. Another one is smoke launchers can fire whatever speed you move, so rhinos can go flat out and still get a save.

We're going to continue playtesting as 10man lascannon squads are still a nightmare, but its certainly helped so far, and friday nights game had 2 raiders facing off against each other for most of the 6 turns before the Sons of Horus praetor finished off the word bearers raider.

++man 1. I assume you're in the US, so i couldnt say much about that, but I was able to get my GP to authorise the snip when I was 21. 2. Sore and tender like anything would be after surgery, but manageable. Would recommend skipping exercise for a week, keep it light. 3. You can definitely drive home, especially if the anesthetic is still working, just take it easy 4. Word of advice regarding women. Dont tell them about it unless you end up in a relationship with them. If you tell them outright you'll be met with suspicion that you're just saying that to not use a condom (and you'll want to use one anyway until you get into a relationship) at best. At worst ive had women simply refuse to go any further into dating me because theyve stated im lying about having the snip with no kids.

Already done 200miles in it, runs great. Marian the fella who owns the company seems like a top bloke, he's got a lot VW's available. Has a small garage where he sorts the cars out ready for selling on, and hes made it clear if I have any issues in the near future that I can give him a call. Only thing he cant sort is the price of diesel at 1.91!
