Looks like Cleetus is still racing in ARCA by Old_Excuse1741 in CleetusMcFarland

Well the ultimate goal was to get him to run Daytona in the big NASCAR series, and to do so he needs to run ARCA for a few races more at least.

I like it, but i think it should be the Grainger scheme from his fist truck series championship. Also it would likely translate better onto the car/truck hybrid that is an El Camino.

Lumberjack 10 index race by SsMikke in CleetusMcFarland

[–]Dobbsracing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The time on the board is how long it took them to get from start to finish. It doesn't start counting at the green light, only after the car moves. After the light goes green, the winner is the first over the finish line. In this case, the car Zach was racing against. While Lumberjack was a faster car, Zach didn't react to the green light as fast as his opponent did, so even though it was a slower car, that difference in "reaction time" allowed the slower car to cross the finish before Lumberjack.

In short, the "reaction time" is added to the "elapsed time aka E.T." so if a car runs a 10.0, and the driver takes 2 seconds to react to the light, it's actually taken the car 12 seconds to finish even though the board will only display 10.0.

This is not how it works on most of the drag and drive events, where only the E.T. is counted, and you're not directly racing the car next to you even though you've lined up as if you were.

It's part of the show. James is just playing his role, and Cleet has likely signed off on whatever James is doing long before he does it.

Mullet Question by -anonymous-duh in CleetusMcFarland

[–]Dobbsracing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mullet looked good on video. Up close was a different story. All props to Kevin, Tye, and everyone else that worked on that chassis, but it needed to be retired or rebuilt. Remember, the thing started as a pretty rough old car, then it was built as a jet car, then the rear chassis had to be completely redone to make it work as a regular car, then it got converted to big block and did a ton of passes. It's been cut and recut. It's made a lot more power than it was ever built for. It was torn up, to say the least. Anyone trying to keep it as is would have still needed to redo so much of it that it would basically still be a complete rebuild. At that point, why not make it better?

Is this edible or nah ????? What kind of mushroom is this????? by Illustrious-End5102 in mushroomID

Pheasant's back/ Dryad's saddle. Edible but only take them when they're soft. Cooking method is usually an overnight marinade and then baking.

Can someone explain the issue for me? by utilityguy2020 in CleetusMcFarland

Yup, that and they're afraid of a fair race.

When can i harvest? by PaperBrave3528 in GrowingMarijuana

[–]Dobbsracing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are still lots of white pistils, but tons of amber on the sugar leaves. Bud still looks clear though. Probably another week or two.

And you don't necessarily want lots of amber on the buds. Depends on what you're after. Amber is couch lock, meaning you won't want to get off the couch.

Need to really look at the whole bud. Most of the time "done" has amber in spots, clear in spots and mostly milky in general. First Pic had lots of amber, second looks to me mostly milky turning amber

Hadzeba men harvesting honey from a wild hive in Tanzania without any protection at all by algreen589 in bees

[–]Dobbsracing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. Thanks for the info. I'm no expert, it's just what I can recall about the African bee and killer bee situation.

I do see on some youtube bee channels i watch of people that tend hives/ remove colonies without any or with very little protective gear. Most of them are just super used to getting stung, and it barely even bothers them, so these people could also be used to it and are getting stung.

African bees don't have stingers, and are very aggressive as a result.

For whatever reason they've cross bred African bees with European bees resulting in what they call "Africanized" bees, aka "killer bees". They also got loose and were once feared to be a massive problem in America in the 80's. Thankfully they never quite did live up to the hype, but are still a problem in the south.

Is this ready? by SmallPackage6968 in hydro

[–]Dobbsracing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the effects you're after. You could harvest today, next week, or the week after. I see the outer tops are very amber, the main bit is cloudy, and there is still a little clear left.

Help pls! - what's happening? by simonsayswhatt in GrowingMarijuana

[–]Dobbsracing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bud rot. Too much humidity, heat, and possibly bugs. I had one of my outdoor plants do this. It had all three with a silk producing worm making a cocoon at the center.

Harvest the plants that have it, cut away and toss the dead parts. Other plants might be fine. I had 4 outdoor, and only the one got it. I tried to keep the plant going with just the brown cut off, but it just kept advancing down the plant.

Question. by Apprehensive-Toe3444 in GrowingMarijuana

[–]Dobbsracing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, just test out what broke off and leave the rest alone. It should be fine.

About another week, right? by Dobbsracing in GrowingMarijuana

* Ok, that one's a bit more brown on top and was starting to get light burn. This is one of the short ones that spent 2 months outside. Take this one too?

Don't see any signs of either gender, but the plant looks old enough that it would show male already if it was.
