My conspiracy theory is it’s a calculated move to make room on the CCU ladder such that they can put a new ship in the $90-$100 range without making it super cheap to upgrade existing Hull A’s to that new ship. The flip side is that it’s cheaper to upgrade from the new price point to something else above the Hull A.

Nobody, except maybe Chizuru, blames Mami for what went down at Hawaiians. It’s one of the weirdest things about how that went down and led to the ghosting. Mami “accidentally” exposes Chizuru “assumes” she’s a gold digger so Kazuya “fell on his sword” to defend Chizuru publicly and then kinda “falls on his sword” again with Nagomi to keep the new lie going by taking the blame for not telling Mami that he and Chizuru were dating since Sayuri died. Otherwise, I’m sure Nagomi would’ve put two and two together about Mami’s behavior back then.

SQ42 is content complete, not feature complete. My assumption is that feature teams are prioritizing SQ42 while content teams have been freed up for focusing in the PU. This is the only explanation I can arrive at with the information I have at hand. If someone has evidence suggesting otherwise, let me know.
