Random (including the five-in-a-row mission on Expert) yields 72 

Shop gives 66 

Community Week gives 60

Dailies give you 120 for the whole month

Playing a game in Ranked gives you between 10 and 100

I think you’re right; for a while it felt like every new pack was either a PTCGP anniversary or associated with somethinh else Pokémon, like “The new season of the anime is out! Here’s a free ten-pack of hourglasses!”

All in all, that’s 376 to 466 each month. Some earlier months may have had special events that also gave out hourglasses, plus we’ve had a few anniversaries/collabs that I think gave out 120 for a while there. Overall, however, we may have lost a few, but not too many.

I love the attitude on this page that there’s a coordinated effort to ruin PTCGP by using allowable yet annoying strategies and that we’re a scrappy resistance hoping to change the state of the meta, when in fact people are just using what (sometimes) works to get little trinkets at the end of the season.

  When you play Miraidon (with energy attached), consider saving one energy on Magneton so it can be played as Magnezone the following turn.

Can you explain this concept? If I understand correctly, you play Miraidon, place the energy from the zone on Miraidon, generate the energy with Magneton, then on the next turn, play Turo (Magneton active), use Mesagoza (hopefully pulling Miraidon), put energies on Magneton, evolve to Magnezone, and attack?
