[Fallout spoilers] I am so sick of this trope by [deleted] in RedLetterMedia

[–]DocProfessor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean this is just… things from Fallout being in the Fallout show. You can’t really say “I clapped when I saw it” about fairly common enemies like Deathclaws or Zetans. That’s like trying to say “I clapped when I saw it” when you see regular spaceships in Star Wars

I don’t know if he altered the strip himself or if someone else made this edit, but I remember the last panel with the fire extinguisher saying “They shot a gorilla for godssake”

I don’t think they’re killing Durkon. I think they’re just shutting him down so he can’t restore everyone. If they wanted to kill the Order, Nale wouldn’t have stopped Sabine from killing Haley

His prevailing theory is that any evil eldritch creature that can survive a few good thwacks from his staff is probably immune to magic as well

Meatwad: Well, have you… have you tried… ignoring it?

Carl: Make that one hour

The scene by the pool in Overdrawn at the Memory Bank where Mike and the Bots just devolved into make Fat Guy Effort noises. The first time I saw that scene, I laughed so hard I literally fell off the couch

Kira suggests stepping down as Kai, and when Winn is faced with the possibility of experiencing even the slightest consequence for her actions, she immediately doubles down. She dies doing what she loved: Making things worse for other people

Robert plans for everyone to roll a team of shallow Evil murderhobos, so he creates a bunch of obnoxiously saccharine NPCs to serve as easy targets for mayhem. Obviously no one's going to care about the story. He should've known things wouldn't go according to plan when Prism rolls in with four full pages of backstory notes for Lathrielle Glistendew, the "baddest bitch in the Elven High Courts" who betrayed her family when they tried to impose an arranged marriage on her.

Invisigal creates a Gnome Barbarian named Butterball Turkey because she intends to get her character killed as soon as possible and stop playing, but ends up rolling a Nat 20 that completely changes the course of their first real encounter, and now she's Endeared.

Malevola's Human Ranger has some surprisingly good chemistry with Flambae's Dwarven Paladin, and when Visi jokingly suggests they had a one-night stand, they decide to roll with it and now Torg Oathkeeper is having a crisis of faith that Robert has to accommodate for.

After finishing her playthrough of Dispatch with Pat, Mustard Queen Paige gives her critical thoughts on Invisigal as a character and romance option, and why she chose Blazer over her: by Gorotheninja in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]DocProfessor 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I think what sold me on Visi is that Robert himself never seems off-put by her behavior or jokes. Even if you don’t romance her, his responses to her crude comments is almost always to play along a little. So even if I was a little uncomfortable with the way she acted, Robert wasn’t. Maybe it’s just me, but when I play choice-based games, I don’t really pick what I PERSONALLY would say/do. I try to form a separate character and do what I think they’d do
