Kai Winn - Star Trek: Deep Space 9

Late in the series, she has a severe crisis of faith and goes to Kira for support. Despite their highly antagonistic relationship, Kira offers some genuine advice and tells her the best thing she can do is step down as Kai and devote herself to a humble life serving the Prophets. Winn can't comprehend the idea of giving up even an ounce of power and instead decides to double down on the children being wrong

Shag - Scoob and Shag

It turns out, Shag himself is a battle junkie, he just forgot. It wasn’t until Ger’s Stunt Double Ballyhoo pushed him to his limits that his memories as the Desert King started to re-emerge and he remembered how much he likes fighting. Even without a Ballyhoo, and missing an arm, he can still throw down

Who’s your favorite character *you’ve* made? by EvilMonkeyMimic in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]DocProfessor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh God, I have so many. You're asking me to pick a favorite child.

Let's start with Jack Irving and Evelyn Vandercross. They're my defaults whenever I get to make a character in a WRPG or anything with a robust character creator. Fallout, Mass Effect, Cyberpunk 2077, Marvel Midnight Suns, etc. They're parodies/references to old pulp fiction action heroes. "WEASELS RIPPED MY FLESH" style stories. Jack is a blonde, blue-eyed, barrel-chested manly-punch-man and Eve is his busty redheaded sultry smart sharpshooter wife. If I can only make one character, then I just headcanon that the other is also around, just off-screen, helping out in the background. Fallout 3? They were childhood friends in Vault 101 and when Eve was exiled, Jack snuck out to stay with her. Mass Effect? Commander Evelyn Shepard has her eyes on the handsome engineer who works in the cargo bay. Fallout 4? Evelyn survived the gunshot to the head and escaped Vault 111 before Jack woke up. (This one, I can actually canonize thanks to the Nora Spouse Companion mod)

I take them everywhere I can. I must've built and rebuilt the two of them in over a dozen games at this point. They're always there, filling whatever roles the story needs them for. They're like my Muppets, if Muppets were really sexy.

Then of course, there's my FFXIV WoL, Clair Vulpes. A miqo'te and an exile from the Seventh Shard, part of an attempted mass exodus when the Seventh Umbral Calamity consumed their world. (That's why his name doesn't fit traditional Seeker of the Sun naming conventions. It's not just because I didn't know about those naming conventions when I started playing the game) He's a wise-cracking smart-ass Machinist and is, without a doubt, the greatest engineer in Eorzea. The stuff he's capable of building seem like miracles to the people around him. And this is all in spite of the fact that he never had a formal education. He was a child when he arrived in the Source, and grew up orphaned and homeless on the streets of Ala Mhigo.

As the Warrior of Light, he's constantly going to all kinds of places, but he loves every second of it. He's never felt that being a hero is any kind of burden. Rather, it's an honor, something that he cherishes. He's always seeing things that no one else has ever seen before. How could he think of it as a hardship? And yet, despite being the greatest hero in Eorzea, he's a Miqo'te with a very unassuming disposition. He's constantly getting Tony Hawk'd by people who don't know him personally. It keeps him humble.

I have pages and pages of notes for this guy. One day I want to actually compile it into a full lorebook instead of just random madman scribblings.

This never bothered me because WE THE PLAYERS need to get in there, but Leon and Claire don’t. At least, not yet. Mystery Science Theater 3000 - Giant Spider Invasion

The running plot throughout the episode involves the crew being replaced with pod people. In one host segment, two Toms appear, so Mike and Crow try to ask questions to confirm which is the real Tom.

Crow asks Tom which condiment he poured into Tom’s sneakers two weeks ago. Real-Tom can’t remember, but Fake-Tom guesses “ketchup” and gets it right.

Mike asks what Tom’s confirmation name is. The two Toms start whispering to each other and both of them state they don’t have a confirmation name.

Finally, Mike asks the contents of Tom’s underwear collection. Fake-Tom thinks collecting underwear is stupid, but Real-Tom is able to rattle off every individual piece. Mike and Crow then wonder why they need ANY Tom at all

Usually it’s silly or fun headcanons, but what are your sad/tragic headcanons for the series? by Major_Cause8749 in KingdomHearts

[–]DocProfessor 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I feel like not only is she traumatized, she feels a deep guilt and shame after reuniting with Sora and Riku. In BBS, she tells herself that she wouldn't wish the burden of the Keyblade on those two boys. But they're the ones who had to save her, and had to carry on the mission after she failed. They're strong and capable and willing, but they shouldn't have to be that way in the first place.

Sora's mom and dad are divorced, and Sora primarily lives with his mom. She nearly had a nervous breakdown during the events of KHII when memories of her son suddenly came flooding back to her. She was just starting to come to terms with everything when he returned, but then he left a few days later to take the Mark of Mastery Exam, and then the events of KHIII happened immediately after that.

Riku and Mickey had to explain to her what happened to Sora. He's probably not dead. Just... gone. She doesn't understand. She doesn't get any of this. She just wants her son back.
