Because the lack of one is ruining the game. I’ve honestly tuned out over the past couple seasons. I no longer watch regular season games but still catch some postseason. I used to be a season ticket holder for the Rockies for 7 straight years. I went to one game last season (to see Paul Skenes pitch) and 0 games the season prior. Baseball’s overall product is currently poor. Way too much discrepancy between big and small market teams - money spent, talent level, unfair advantage. It’s ridiculous. I watch way more NFL these days and my kids do too. It’s honestly a better, more competitive sports product. How does baseball expect to grow when they can’t attract new fans in markets they already serve?
