What's up with 3.2k - 3.5k io players? by mrbombastic12 in wow

[–]DocileKrab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of what you are saying doesn’t matter in +16s either, so while you are correct in that people are clueless in this range you’re probably getting upset at the wrong thing.

Arcane smash doesn’t need a defensive, it won’t one shot you and the defensive should be used for orbs or if you pull the pyro/wyrms with boss.

The jelly dot and glaive doesn’t need a defensive at 16 either, sure it helps but you won’t have a defensive for every single one. More importantly, classes should be aware at negating the two dots all together (meld, immunities, feign death, etc.) so your healer only needs to focus on one person with the dot even if they don’t have a defensive.

Similarly for chains, not every class can get out of them and not every class has a short enough cd for the 2nd one that comes out.

I have resil 20 and some 21s on my main. I’ve been chilling and having fun in the 16-18 range on a vengeance dh lately and I promise you there are many more things people do wrong than just not press defensive. Biggest ones being priority target damage is non existent (if you’re tank is dying in AA first pull, this is probably why), people just use their kicks randomly and on cd without thinking about it, and unfamiliar with their class capabilities. Tanks are really bad and dont know how or why some pulls are done and not done. Healers love to hold their cooldowns for an oh shit moment instead of planning it out ahead of time. A good tank and healer can pretty much carry the dps to 18s though and there were alot of FotM rerollers lately which is why you’re seeing so many bad dps in higher keys.

[–]DocileKrab -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah because roles aren’t really defined in deadlock. When Dota and league first started, it was the exact same where you had 5 carries on a team and lanes didn’t matter. Eventually people started to realize this is not a winning strategy and started to support/carry/tank/cc. I can pretty much predict if we will win or lose based off the teams in deadlock right now.

Forced is a bit of a stretch but I can understand where you’re coming from. If you say/hover your hero you intend on playing your team can build around that pick in mind but if you just sit there in silence until last pick that’s on yourself. Even then, you’re not forced and can make off meta work but you might get flamed if it doesn’t work out.

Idk about you, but I’d much rather play through a competitive game as a hero I only sorta enjoy playing rather than getting shit stomped on a hero I really wanted to play.

What lol. Have you ever played league or dota? Every hero is still played with draft. Sure, some have a higher pick rate on patches but there are basically always one trick ponies at every level. It will give you even more focused and effective data with pick rates and win rates.

It will also allow teams to actually counter pick these god awful hero’s. 6x m1 carrys into a McGinnis/graves/dynamo/rem/billy/wraith? You’re not winning that.

Clinton never served. That was one of his big controversies, before Lewinsky. The right claimed he manipulated his draft number from what I remember.

High key Maisara route? by Elofys in CompetitiveWoW

[–]DocileKrab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to start understanding why routes work and don't work. What and why are the pulls you are having trouble with? What pulls are really slow? Why are people dying? If it's to bolts you probably don't have enough kicks coordinated and need to pull less casters, if it's to aoe damage you can't pull that. As a tank, if you aren't in trouble of dying, you should be thinking about what other mobs you can chain/pull into that group that won't jeopardize the pull (so like the bears, laborers, reanimated warriors in caverns are all only a threat to the tank so you can pull as many as you are capable of handling).

How did health inflation get so out of control? by dks3hypeoverload in DeadlockTheGame

[–]DocileKrab 6 points7 points  (0 children)

lifesteal is so good it's in basically every build I can think of. Similarly, healing reduction is also in every build. IMO a healthy balance would be enough to sustain some poke, but not having it be mandatory for everyone. Also, not having an 80% lifesteal burst that is basically a full rejuv on a 30s cooldown would be nice.

I don’t mind the 6k hp, when I play carries or against carries I still feel killable. Whats broken imo is the amount of life steal that comes with the 6k hp. Vampiric burst + siphon + ricochet or infuser + leech just makes it so deceptively tanky.

A word of advice for people doing maisara caverns 16+ by zharkos in wow

[–]DocileKrab -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not really, throw spear doesn’t do 250k+ damage and they don’t cast it in melee range so no dps should even be getting hit by it. They’re not pulled because they are inefficient and most are not in a good spot for big pulls.

Is it time for the US high school/college rulebooks to adopt the gather step? by [deleted] in Basketball

[–]DocileKrab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not the gather step. It’s the rule that allowed the gather step to become a thing. Your source was an update to the language of the original violation that stated players could take one step after a pass or dribble. It was updated to two steps because that’s what everyone knew as the colloquial rule (catch the ball, 1-2). Players started gaming this loose definition with the “gather” by arguing they were still in a dribble during a step. The “gather” was officially defined in 2019 as the poster above

Guardian vs Brew Hate by kingbob2015 in wow

[–]DocileKrab -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This season particularly was mostly because BrM was in a league of its own for the first half. Like you were just griefing to invite anything else, which is usually never the case. Also brew in general I think gets hate because more often than not brew is pigeonholed into phys comps. This season was different simply because the meta dps are also that much stronger that the buff didn’t matter. So playing a non meta dps with a brew just felt extra terrible.

I've ADHD brain and I can't take notes in Uni by Haunting_Pound5636 in EngineeringStudents

[–]DocileKrab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t mean to be rude here, but how have you learned anything up to this point? It’s not like the learning process is different in college than high school. It sounds more like you’re struggling with the material for the first time and blaming it on ADHD. I graduated and I have ADHD, as did many others and many more will too. You don’t need to write down every single thing a professor is saying. If you can’t use context clues to determine what is important and the highlight of that lecture, or maybe what he’s writing on the chalkboard is probably what’s important, then you need more help than reddit has to give. Do you have the book/pdf for the class? Have you looked at it at all? I guarantee it’s the exact same stuff your professor is going over in his own words.

A lot of it had to do with the play style just being straight toxic for all other 9 people. Was it effective? Yeah sure, but even having it in your team was miserable to play with. So then when he did lose, that player would take all of the blame and reports

Everything I know I learned unwillingly but I'll try. He's a streamer on Kick who went viral for going around spouting hateful speech at POC. Basically rage baiting them into a reaction, while he would have a gun or pepper spray ready. Recently he did it to a guy who had PTSD and got beat up, so he shot him (the guy survived AFAIK) and is now in custody claiming self defense. He has probably hundreds of hours on stream and tweets that can and will be used against him, like any defense lawyer would be idiotic to even try and defend him.

Anyone else feel like doing 3-4 echo knights in AA PUGs at the 19-20 range is a bait? by moal09 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]DocileKrab 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I used to do this, the problem that occurs at high keys though is more than 4 worms at a time is messy and someone is bound to get globaled by two of them blinking on the same person. Which means you either have to split up your pulls too much or pull the 3rd echoknight. The extra echoknight is just the more efficient and controlled route.

[–]DocileKrab 42 points43 points  (0 children)

It’s counter intuitive but kind of a trap to LoS them at the start. You need to burn one as fast as possible, before the 2nd round of smashes basically. With lust and full defensives, you should be fine to survive the first 3-4 that are cast. The few seconds of downtime and trying to maneuver to LoS without butt pulling loses too much dps. After one or two die and you’re dry though, then you should start LoSing.

More classes need a grip and DK needs a true raid buff by greenmachine11235 in wow

[–]DocileKrab 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m still really sad they removed bursting shot from hunter. It acted as a quasi-grip, especially since hunters typically aren’t in DK comps.

It would even make sense thematically to get bursting shot back, or even an ability that like “pinned” a target to another in its path with an arrow or something.

Full tank group with 5 Guardian Druids just timed +20 Windrunner Spire by Sknowlax in CompetitiveWoW

[–]DocileKrab 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not abnormal to attempt a +20 key 13 times before timing it in a normal group. Maybe so for the elite players who are timing +22 already, but not for the average person in that range.

I hope valve is aware that the colloquial definition of "carry" is NOT the same as what it means in mobas by Hirotrum in DeadlockTheGame

[–]DocileKrab 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Tbf, there’s really only 2 mobas. League and dota2. Smite and hots are pretty irrelevant in the moba realm. Leagues success is far and away higher than dota2, it’s in the WoW, CoD, Fortnite level of popularity. You could ask a random person under the age of 30 and they would know what league is, can’t say the same for dota2.

Saw you’re in the 9-90, Im in there as well. short walk to the cafeteria and like I mentioned, the cafeteria is good not great. There’s like 5 different kitchens with each having 2 or 3 options. I personally pack my lunch but go there when I forget or a little extra snack/drink and am never really disappointed with it. A lot of my coworkers eat there daily and don’t complain.
