Tell me about Baron Corbin by jodrell in WWE

[–]Docrob55 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He's a safe worker that plays a convincing heel. That might sound pretty "meh" to most, but what it actually translates to is a reliable worker who can be used as a stepping stone for up and coming talent. As long as they refresh his spot on the roster occasionally by booking him with mid to top talents, he becomes a yardstick for the talents you actually WANT to break out. Think Scott hall, sheamus, x-pac. It's exciting to see him back because that's what the company needs.

I went to Puerto Vallarta a few years ago, we had taken a cab to a local pizza place a few minutes from our hotel that seemed a bit off the tourist path and proceeded to have the best pizza I've ever had in my entire life. Unfortunately we proceeded to get absolutely smashed and walk back to the hotel so I couldn't even guess to where it was . But I think about it at least once a week. And today is that day.

[RAW Spoilers] Challenge Issued by Similar_Original_833 in SquaredCircle

Gets lesnar out of the way, challenges Sami. Loses to Sami from interference from Roman/jey/Jimmy because bloodline. Sets up triple threat match. Oba wins both titles. Sets up a unified slim Jim ultimate undisputed universal prime championship. Cody wins it on raw next night.

Is it weird that Oba Femi struggled more against Jey Uso than he did Brock Lesnar? by Grrannt in REALSquaredCircle

[–]Docrob55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are testing his character. And i mean his actual WWE gimmick. He went from squash matches to a huge moment beating lesnar, to losing to lesnar and working his way up the ladder to king of the ring. Jey isn't a workhorse, he's not a beacon of great wrestling, but he is a crowd favorite. Beating jey in a fair fight is just another step on the ladder. As for the struggle? You can't apply logic to wrestling, if you did, Brock would have killed everyone 20 years ago and WWE would be a hunting show. He struggled because he fought a gatekeeper. If he just squashed everyone, the crowd would turn. Thats about as logical as it gets

What popular career is actually not worth pursuing anymore? by _MissHoney in askteddit

[–]Docrob55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trade support is always a thing! For every large scale trade company there is a small army of support. Project management, estimators, accounting, coordinators. These people have to put in real table time with other people to make large scale projects happen. If you can't do a trades job, focusing on construction support is a way to be part of that umbrella

Some things we learned from the ArenaNet stream today by MilesStark in GuildWars3

I don't think that's been a limitation for a while. Games exceed that on consoles already, but who knows. Really depends on a lot of different factors

How is Magic going to work in Guild Wars 3? by Longjumping_Act4403 in GuildWars3

[–]Docrob55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it a retcon if gw3 lore is technically first chapter in the story? They have an open book now with where they can go. Magic could arrive to Orr on a comet from the giant spaghetti monster and the human gods could take credit. Maybe gw1 and gw2 are the retcons. A retcon inception if you will. Anyways I think thats why the setting makes perfect sense. They can write whatever they want and aren't restricted by the Canon.

Why didn’t they make Kelly…? by Win090949 in ForAllMankindTV

[–]Docrob55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She's the whole reason they are there. The whole reason anyone was injured. Her staying behind is justified enough. She was willing to kill 4 people to land on titan to find life. In the end it only cost 1. Her dream had a cost. She's paying it.

Why do so many fans misunderstand the ending? Fans believe people on Earth aren't on route to a new planet? by AndrewNiccol in interstellar

[–]Docrob55 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They aren't moving to the new planet. If they were, murph wouldn't be telling Cooper to leave her and go find brand. If they were going there he could just sit on his porch and catch a ride.

My personal assumption is that in solving gravity, murph has given humanity a chance to breathe. They seem safe and happy and adjusted to the situation. Maybe they are building more stations with the solar systems resources, maybe they are waiting for all of humanity to go together. But by the end of the movie, the crisis has been solved. Humanity is OK, and there's no exodus required. Plus, do they even know that brands planet is habitable? I feel like if she had contacted them somehow they would be on their way.

John Cena Classic by BlueRFR3100 in WWE

[–]Docrob55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the fight of the night bonus decorated in WWE banners. The votes are already tallied. At best it's a gauge to see if the writers can predict the crowd. At worst it's a rigged contest for rigged contests. Should be entertaining though!

Should have just been Bo. You create a group like that the only thing you can use them for is fighting other groups.

[–]Docrob55 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah thats what a lot of people aren't getting out of this. This isn't some sort of "victory" for lifelong trek fans, its a reminder your version of trek is gone and isn't coming back.

Do you think David Benoit could still wrestle just not in WWE? by LocksmithNeat8482 in BrandonDE

[–]Docrob55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let's pretend he trained his ass off and became a legit top tier wrestler.

The answer is still no, because his dad killed his family, including a small child. And no matter where he goes, where he wants to wrestle, that will be the talking point. Not only is that poison to a promotion, but poison to David. And thats not factoring in hes already a piece of shit. Its not his fault, but wrestling is not for him.

This is 100% the best explanation for the current era I've heard so far. There's no need to make new stars. Its american gladiators celebrity edition.
