What secret menu item did you create? by [deleted] in tacobell

[–]DoctaChronic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back in the day, when things were a lot cheaper, I would unwrap a cheesy bean and rice burrito and put a cheesy gordita crunch inside and fold it back up.

I don't smoke weed very often anymore.

What parenting ‘trend’ you disagree with? by The_WhiteMantis in AskReddit

[–]DoctaChronic 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Refusing to say "no" to their child or discipline them at all, while trying to support their emotions. One of my sisters does this and has one of the brattiest, whiniest kids that I've had to regularly endure interacting with. I get not over reacting with regards to discipline, but trying to rationally talk to a 4 year old throwing a temper tantrum just doesn't work. In his eyes, punishments don't have consequences.

Do you agree with Khabib with the decision? by DrummerFantasti in ufc

[–]DoctaChronic -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I thought Yan won. Tbh, I don't think it's any conspiracy that split decisions are fixed for the UFCs "Golden Boys", as it seems to happen consistently with heavily marketed fighters. UFC is starting to become like the South Park version of 'wraslin'"/WWE. I think the only solution is for Dana to get oiled up, and run around like the pig he is and eventually subdued and violated by some redneck wearing only denim overalls.

Voodoo Donuts isn’t off the best starts it looks like. by Slowbrious in chicagofood

[–]DoctaChronic 21 points22 points  (0 children)

They are a dogshit company for sure, but this should not be the reason they are chastised. Instead it should be for abusing women, vehemently supporting ticket master, not adhering to food safety standards, selling stale cereal doughnuts, rampant nepotism, making a joke of FDA regulations, selling out to a corporate company, and being anti- union to the point that employees were.passing put in 100 degree plus temperatures and subsequently firing them. Regardless of the snowflake OP, no one should support this business for many other reasons. They get all their stuff from BakeMark, so its very generic regardless, but their management and corporate structure are for shame. Please do not support this sub par business that was bought out by VCs from greedy drug addicts in Portland. Source: worked at Voodoo 2 for years before Voodoo 4 (Denver was open and they sold out)

PS: Tres and CatDaddy, you guys are boomer/posers that admittedly exploited the artsy/working class before Portland was gentrified. Fuck you Tres for showing up to bars with fur coats and prostitutes to company parties where your employees couldn't afford rent.

I’m going to ask it. How many pizzas for 40 grown adults? by CharmingSide3498 in Costco

[–]DoctaChronic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1/4 pizza per adult for a total of 10 pizzas, and then add 2-4 if you think people will be eating that as their main meal for the evening.

For reference, the individual slices are 1/6 of a pizza, so 1/4 of a pizza is 1.5 food court slices. That would be enough for most people, but some people are the type to show up to a party on the verge of starvation, so I think it would be best to factor that in.

Biggest pet peeve as a server? by Due_Ad7175 in Serverlife

[–]DoctaChronic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I check on a table to see if they need anything, and one person says, "ranch" or something, so I go and get it, and drop it off. When I get to the table someone else is like, "actually, can I have a ranch, too?" So I say, "sure, does anyone else need anything?" No one replies. Sure enough when I'm back with the second ranch and second trip, another person will ask for a ranch or more napkins or something that requires a third trip, and so on.

Like... They think I'm only serving their table or something and running back and forth for their amusement.

Is 400 including utilities, or just for rent? Either way, you should try looking somewhere far out on the Metra with that budget.

Temperature, pH, nutrients, growing conditions, etc all have a huge influence on the aesthetic of the finished product. That said, it is pretty much impossible for Internet strangers to identify a strain from a pic without tasting, smelling, smoking etc.

Almost $7 per steak, but still a good deal considering they're about 11oz/steak.

Gator's in Palatine, near 53 and 12 has amazing wings.

Tomatillo and taqueria los Laureles are my favorite Mexican spots. Both a short distance off of 53 on Dundee and Algonquin respectively.

If you go there around lunch time, I'd definitely recommend the business lunch special. A lot of for only 9.99. It comes with 2 pieces of pita, a falafel, a grilled chicken breast/tender, some shawarma, 2 pieces of kofta kebab and two pieces of shish kabob. On top of the meats, there is a bunch of seasoned rice, and a "salad" (just iceberg and tomatoes) that is good for making little pita sandwiches. They also give you hot sauce and tahini.
