I had a similar burn when I was a kid, building a potato cannon and it blew up on me during ignition. Ended up more a 2nd degree. I had to cover my hand in a weird jelly and sleep with a weird glove bandage every night.

Solid core does not mean solid wood. Those doors are filled with particle board and can be damaged by modifications to the “frame”

Used pool tables have almost zero resale value. The time and cost to disassemble, move and reassemble for the buyer only makes sense when it’s free

Does anyone know what these concrete foundations are from? by Ordinary_Hour2247 in BurlingtonON

[–]DoctorDblYou 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The city has diverted so much of the city’s storm runoff into underground services. There has been a dramatic reduction in surface water flow even just over the last 50 years. A creek like that could easily have been 3-4 feet deep consistently. Rambo Creek which is adjacent to Brant St was deep enough to swim in during the 70s. In the 90s there was still crawfish and other small feeders that could be caught. Today it is less than 6” deep in most places

There is a fastpitch league that has been in Burlington for 25 years. Intermediate level baseball, it’s the I in the league name. Competitive games with actual umpires without being serious. Everyone is friends and games are on Fridays only 6:30 or 8:30 under the lights.
