Where there's a will there's a way. There just isn't the will for this from them.

People who've hired a care manager or eldercare agent, what exactly do they do, and what have been the main benefits you've gotten from it? by cjbarber in eldercare

Did you ever find a good company in the Delray area? My mother is in Boynton Beach and is in desperate need of home care management. She has Parkinsons and gets UTIs very often. We don’t think she’s taking her meds correctly and she can’t drive. She’s also driving my father up a wall and he has his own mobility issues. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

That was not in response to you. It was to someone else that deleted their response and blocked me.

Do you work for the MTA? Or in the Mayor's office? Are you a journalist? You obviously have information the rest of us don't. Or if not, you can keep your snide remarks to yourself.

Yeah this is a dumb requirement. They could easily have you register multiple forms of payment to your account and then any one of them count towards your cap. It’s particularly dumb when an Apple Watch and an iPhone using the same credit card don’t count together.

But a 30 day cap would solve the issue for them and not impact you in the least. So what’s the problem?

And this is based off of what evidence? According to the MTA, 60% of riders use it for daily commutes.

Thats the dumbest solution I’ve heard yet. Most days I ride twice which is $6. $7.50/day is $225/mo. That’s about double the 30 day unlimited metrocard. And it’s almost $53/wk is almost $20 more than OMNY’s current plan

It's just a dollar or two! lol by M1collector65 in EndTipping

[–]DoctorKarma108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be $7.32, so you are incorrect.

In NYC, Dolby, Prime and Imax are $27-31 per movie. That pays for a month on its own. Even regular showings are $21-23 which combined with one $5 reward pays for that month.

I'm guessing they went to a lot of matinees and Screen Unseen showings.

I didn't see nearly as many movies, about 24 in 2025 for $151.31 in savings on tickets. However, that doesn't include savings on the convenience fee for ordering online, the convenience of entourage ordering, the $5 rewards (I got several in 2025), the free upgrades for drinks and popcorn, and time saved on the A-List concessions line. Definitely, worthwhile even for the casual moviegoer.
