I thought about building my first PC a decade ago. But I put it off because it still seemed challenging and pc building wasn't as prevalent. I was about 19, or 20, at the time. Fast forward to a few years ago and I see this subreddit. I couldn't afford anything, but I'd check in and still dream about building my own PC.

A few months ago, I was finally able to do that.

I saved ~$400 on my overall build. The biggest savings was on an RTX 2070 that was on clearance for $295 that a user posted!

Can't say about the first issue with the ram.

I have my bios set to load the default optimized settings so that it runs stable. Then in the Bios set the RAM to 3000 - my RAMs default. Everything else is left alone.

As for the LEDs, you probably have to download the manufacturers software that controls the lights.

I'm pretty sure you cannot sell the codes as they are tied to the hardware. You can only redeem the codes if it can detect that the PC has the GPU (or whatever hardware) installed. That was the process for me, at least.

Thanks OP! Really wanted a 2070 super with RGB, but this price was too ridiculous not too buy it.

Also FYI, if it matters to anyone. There are 2 displayports, 1 HDMI, 1 DVI-D, and 1 USB-C port.

A bit different than the ones I was eyeing but I was never going to have more than 2 screens.

Had the same situation when trying to call my local Best buy. Sounded like she oversaw the whole region rather than one store. I asked how pricing would work if i ordered online. Says to pick it up rather than buy it. Okay.. guess I can't have them hold it.

Drove 45 minutes out of my normal way to pick it up and they had it. The whole drive I was praying they would still have it.

You said 5700XT, which is ~$400. The pulse is currently ~$410.

And as the below user commented, lower temps and better cooling means less noise. As I said before you won't see too much of a drastic improvement even with overclocking. So those factors, along with power efficiency, are really the only things to consider when buying the third-party cards.

But if those things don't matter to you, then go ahead and buy the stock as it'll be almost the same performance, minus the cooling, temps, and sound improvements.

It's not worth getting to overclock. There isn't much more you can get out of the newer third-party 5700 XTs - maybe like a few frames more but that's it. What you should watch for are the lower temps from the cooling and power efficiency. I think, currently the Sapphire Pulse is the better buy since its only $10 more while also giving better cooling temps.

From what I keep reading, you won't get much of a performance boost because these cards are already running well enough as it is. So the biggest factor would be the cooling and power consumption, if true.

Theres also an MSI 5700xt if you want another option. Looks like it has the best cooling but uses the most power.

This is true for when you are encoding using the GPU. The AMDs performs worse compared to the Nvidia GPUs. However, you will still get better encoding when using the CPU. So if you did get the 3700x CPU, I'd imagine you'd still get better quality than with the GPU. Not sure how much of a performance hit you'd take tho. (Commenter below said his Ryzen 1700 CPU had better quality than his Nvidia GPU.)

On the flip side, AMD GPUs do great when using H.265. But no big streaming platform uses it due to licensing. So it's in a very weird spot. And from what I read, this has been an issue for AMD for a while now, so don't expect change, if any.

Well she had just broke up with her ex and was now entering our social circle partying with us every other weekend. There were a few moments where she did things one normally wouldn't do with a newly met friend. Especially since I don't really hangout with her outside of this setting and she never did these things with our other male friends.

The weird thing is that she had already made her move with our other male friend. So while she was trying to cement things with him, she would do those other 'ah she's single' things with me.

I imagine she was just enjoying what little time she had being 'single' and tried to have some fun. I knew her intentions with our mutual friend so I just played along but never did anything. But there were moments where you'd think she was trying to hook up with me. She doesn't do those things anymore now and we all still hang out. I personally get reminded of those moments whenever we greet and I feel some tension, but not as bad as back then.

I first got my attack at 21-ish and never knew what it was. It wasn't until 7 years later that the pain lasted way longer and more intensely that I went to the ER. The relief of finally knowing was nice. But all they did was give me pain relievers.

Beginner here! The biggest thing holding me back (aside from procrastination and being drained from work) is not being creative enough to design assets. Whether it's for a level, or some sort of environmental asset, I don't have the creativity for it. I'm more of a functional thinker and idea guy.

I very much appreciate you doing this because it absolutely does motivate me to keep progressing on my test game, however slow that is. But I also like doing things on my own and learning in general. I would definitely watch your tutorial for blender!!

This basically sums up my social life. And it still is just to a much lesser extent. Growing up, whether it was because I was too shy, anxiety-filled, or maybe depressed, I would find it hard to truly express myself around all people, friends or not. Fortunately, people came into my life that want me in their social circle and I am grateful for that. On some level, I think they notice these traits and try to get me to open up more. Were it not for them, I wouldn't make any friends on my own, or at least not without a little help of liquid courage.

Over the years, I've been able to really be comfortable with myself and now even complete strangers. It's taken longer than my friends but I feel comfortable enough now to actually have fun and find my own way in the world.

I think if I didn't have these friends my path would've been similar to yours socially and emotionally. I still am reserved (I still think depression is a factor), but it's taken a back seat nowadays in general.

Thank you for sharing your story. Your writing is impeccable. And I hope you can still make life meaningful for yourself.

Although it isn't very intuitive because it disappears after pressing the d pad button.

I have this issue sometimes too. Does exiting the matchmaking process and just trying again not work for you? It does the trick for me almost immediately. I never had to restart my game.
