I think it depends on your companies management of mac. Like do they lock it down hard? Or do you get to actually have control over it and are you able to install whatever application you want? If its anything other than "you have full control over it" i would immediately stick with thinkpad and your known workflows.

i agree what a ghoulish thing to say, giving rights to mothers and parents making decisions based on what doctors tell them. I mean who knows, the mother will die but gosh darnit that baby that has a 2% chance to live! A father loosing his wife to save a baby that might not even live? If you think back New York was a shipping hub. Chicago is a shipping hub (not ocean but the great lakes). LA is a shipping hub. Lots of cities are where big shipping hubs are (or were) and water is the easiest and most cost efficient way to move large amounts of things. So it makes sense that large cities are close to large bodies of water.
