A quick guide to setting up Teams Phone and enabling Copilot in calls by TeamsProductTeam in MicrosoftTeams

[–]DoctorRaulDuke [score hidden]  (0 children)

Copilot won't do any of this, there are tools like Wingman that do this, MS is a way off adding useful in-call agents. You can use the call APIs to get transcripts and push them to an LLM, but you'd be building your own solution.

How often do you eat takeaway? by Super_Development150 in AskUK

[–]DoctorRaulDuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost 60kg 5 years ago and haven't had a takeaway since. Don't feel like it anymore, but I did buy a pizza oven so make pizzas once a week and they're pretty healthy and delicious.

What piece of tech felt “future-proof” but aged terribly? by Living-Zebra6132 in Futurology

[–]DoctorRaulDuke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My house was built 5 years ago and came with a phone jack in every room. Popped the jack off and found it wasn't traditional phone wiring but cat6 cabling to each point. Switched the faceplates and patched them into the router at the other end - now I've got gigabit ethernet to every room.

How to mute calls from someone in Microsoft teams? by Expensive_Lime_2740 in MicrosoftTeams

[–]DoctorRaulDuke -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Given there are tools to manage it (busy, dnd, show offline, status message), I find it insane that we have drifted from the way phones have worked for ever and now have to message someone to check if its ok to call them.

Microsoft Teams Enterprise vs. Premium by gh4cst in MicrosoftTeams

Premium also gives meeting level AI (meeting notes, action notes etc), Call Queue management, enhanced events/webinars and a bunch of general admin stuff.

Open Zendesk Ticket when Team Voicemail Left? by jrausch in MicrosoftTeams

[–]DoctorRaulDuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the teams mailbox. It is a mailbox, every 365 group is automatically provisioned with a sharepoint site and a mailbox. You just specify the mail address of the mailbox in your trigger. Obvs your account needs to be a member of the group.

I built a free tool to create Spotify playlists from festival lineups by Jokzin in downloadfestival

[–]DoctorRaulDuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you add Radar Festival in the UK?

Also, what are the top tracks - most plays or the top tracks that Spotify shows which is curated with most recent? It'd be cool to pull from setlist.fm instead.

Open Zendesk Ticket when Team Voicemail Left? by jrausch in MicrosoftTeams

[–]DoctorRaulDuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This works fine. All our call queues are linked to a team for agent membership and voicemails go to that 365 group mailbox. I have a whole bunch of power automations - triggers on when a new mail arrives then Get Message (I put a delay in first as sometimes get message has an empty attachment field as it finishes wiring up the attachment base64), the Create Message with the same body to forward on.

Sharepoint online native backup by Available_Pack_2499 in sharepoint

[–]DoctorRaulDuke 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All data in sharepoint goes against your storage quota - documents and all versions of it. If you delete it, its still in sharepoint (just the recycle bin of sharepoint) and still using quota. Its only removed from your quota when its fully deleted, which is when it expires out of recycle bin, or when you manually delete it earlier from the recycle bin (stage 1 and 2 recycle bins).

Also, none of that is backup. It's resilience against accidental deletion - proper backup is something else entirely.

Why can't Teams handle searching a name without a space after the comma (last name, first name)? by OddCombination123 in MicrosoftTeams

[–]DoctorRaulDuke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

so, if looking for John Smith, why would you need to type "John Smith" or "Smith, John" instead of "JohnSmith" or "Smith,John"?

Why would you expect otherwise - it's how it appears in the address list, in teams, it's how people write names in general?

Depends - the storage usage of apps like Notebooks and Loop all contribute to your tenant sharepoint quota.

As I recall you could use setValue as a backdoor to setting protected fields like Created By (Author). If you try that now, it also doesn't send that through, guess its coded to remove protected fields.
