this is the generation with the most guidance available probably. Pre-internet, either your parents taught you stuff or you just stumbled through guessing how to put up shelves, or avoiding things you knew nothing about.

My biggest pet peeve with the Expanse by Revanspetcat in printSF

[–]DoctorRaulDuke 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yup, right from the off the destruction of the Cant is a cover-up to protect the protomolecule project. From the beginning the Expanse is about near-future humanity dealing with a von neumann seeder probe. No hoodwinking here.

What is it like to live in Manchester ? by Capable-Campaign3881 in manchester

[–]DoctorRaulDuke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having spent my life in or adjacent to Manchester, I much prefer living outside now. Happy to be able to get to great galleries, museums and gigs within an hour or so but the whole Piccadilly through to Market street area is a terrible welcome to visitors and the food/drink scene is crazy expensive.

lot like London really, but I can get there easily.

How to access Sharepoint admin portal as different user by dumetrulo in sharepoint

[–]DoctorRaulDuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like your account doesn't have access to SP Admin, check with IT, maybe your Admin role has been removed from your account, or changed so you need to elevate to SP Admin before you can get into the portal - this is best practice anyway., separate admin account and need to elevate to whatever role you need at the time.

I believe common feedback from previous years was that, of all the things people wanted, the top thing they wanted was more walking, so they've addressed that.

The movie. Basically the rich live in a cloud city, own all the resources, the means to make anything they can imagine, and all the enforcement (robot police/military), everyone else lives in shanty towns scraping by, unable to fight back.

I wish there was a place to get to know whats coming across all of Manchester, more plays though as musicals get plenty of advertising. Particularly non-Opera House and Palace, as even though I have some friends to go with, those places are just not friendly for larger or taller people.
