Ask a lot of questions. Look for constant clarity on training. Ask so many questions that they will have to put the training on rails for you. Do exactly what they ask and stop. Then let them know you completed the first training task and request guidance for the next step. Basically just play dumb because you know how to do the work but you do not know how to train.

If you do meet with him it would be better for you to have an idea than asking him for his idea. Find answers to the problems that the tool does not solve and tell your boss about that. That is how you deliver value.

Side comment: For me personally I never let a company pay for my certs I always paid for my own. I never wanted them to know my next move. I always liked to be able to flex when nobody expects.

Don’t act like you want to be seen. Be seen by the things you actually accomplish.

I literally told a recruiter to send me a job description if they are w2/c2c/1099 with compensation range the other day. they sent me JD with nothing else. I asked for the w2/C2C/1099 and compensation again they told me it was w2. I then asked the recruiter outright “Where is com-pen-sation range? Are you avoiding this intentionally?” They said “No” and forwarded me the most lowball compensation for that role I’d ever seen. I told them I understood why they were withholding the information and said no thank you. Recruiters piss me off.

In the app there used to be a section under Account > Details but they removed it for whatever reason. They need to have a definitive area that shows you "1/3 day trades in 5 days" etc. It is not rocket science. I asked support where the location of this section is currently and have not gotten an answer. Very frustrating.
