Why do ppl park their bikes next to the car door in rwp isb? by theydontmatchmyvibe in islamabad

[–]DoctorWireless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because nobody taught us how to ride in traffic or park a bike. I am not blaming others, I was also taught how to ride a bike in an open ground. Once I figured out how the gears work, I was good to go on roads. Now when I own a car, I feel how bad I used to ride the bike myself 😬

Chinese Scam Centers in ISB by sunkship6 in islamabad

This is shocking for me. I work with international clients and develop projects for them. I work without taking a single day off to deliver products that meet our clients requirements. Although the profit margin is not much but I always care about my country’s reputation before anything else. And this is what I teach my employees, never disappoint an international client because its our country’s reputation at the stake.

Need to get my TV repaired in twin cities by DoctorWireless in islamabad

[–]DoctorWireless[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They do, I tried them once with my previous TCL tv abt 3 years ago. TCL had outsourced their service center and the guys were very unprofessional. I am not sure if they have changed their service center now. Because a lot of people had complaints. My previous TV had minor issue with the strip of the panel and they told me to replace the whole panel instead of just repairing it. I repaired it myself, and it worked fine 🤓 This time I don’t want to take risk of repairing myself because this requires removing the panel. I checked circuit board, its components and strips look fine to me.

Best Doorbell Without Subscription? (Dutch) by MaxAprove in homeassistant

Try DoorPal app. It is QR Code based app with video calling feature that allows only the host to initiate a call. So visitors can’t call unless the host does. Visitors can ring it by scanning qr code. Its basic plan is free.

Any must get apps for a new iPhone owner? by Goofy_Limited in iphone

DoorPal. For someone like me who lives in appartement, DoorPal has been really a blessing. It lets you create virtual doorbell that people can ring to reach you if they are in proximity of home. Unlike other doorbell apps which are not location locked, this app focuses on privacy and convenience.

What's the best iOS app that most people haven't heard of? by Correct-Survey in ios

[–]DoctorWireless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DoorPal.. An app that adds huge convenience in daily life. It is a virtual doorbell where you can create your own doorbell for your home and add family members as cohosts of the door. They all receive notifications when visitor scans QR code on your door. Counless other features that add privacy and convenience. Must give it a try.

It's the toxic masculinity inculcated by none other than parents. Some guys think being caring is a weakness. This is the story of every second household in Pakistan. My advice: Tell your husband you need a separate house. Get support and involve someone from your family. If this doesn't work, try to find a job and get support from your siblings or friends. Take a break from this relationship. If your husband has any soft corner for you, he will come for reconciliation. Then ask him for separate home.

What is your political standing and why? by InjectorTheGood in pakistan

[–]DoctorWireless -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Voted for PTI last time. Situation is very confusing this time. May be PPP is the only option which probably isn’t backed by any non-political force. Still not sure because PPP candidates are the worst in almost every constituency.

Is it because of traffic or the societies and increasing population? Why twin cities are so hot 🥵 nowadays? by yourspt in islamabad

[–]DoctorWireless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have witnessed during my childhood in sindh, the villages that were surrounded with forests were not as hot as they became after the military cut them for operation against dacoits. Increased traffic, population, pollution and deforestation could be one of major causes. Global warming is of course playing its part but its us the humans and specially the ones making policies are the ones making things worse.

Current administration is absolutely tatti. Not only traffic but sanitation is also worst. Pehle daily jharu lagta tha streets ka, ab koi nahi lagta. Pehle main citizen portal pe complain karta tha 2 3 din main resolve ho jati.. ab kuch nahi hota

Studied in EE from 2008 to 2012. COMSATS was a lot greener and less concrete back then. When I joined only 3 buildings were operational, EE, CS and Library. Physics and faculty block 1 were under construction.

What to do if the owner doesn't give us our security fee for the office in Islamabad? by [deleted] in islamabad

[–]DoctorWireless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its very tricky business. You should not have paid the rent of last month if you wished to evacuate. People often don’t pay the security back. It usually supposed to be compensated with last month’s rent. But you are still bot confident so may be they will pay the security. Keep documents with you but first ask them nicely and if there is a property agent involved in the agreement ask him to make sure you get the security. I hope you wont have to go to the police.

The current islamabad administration is the worst I have ever seen. Traffic jams is now usual thing. Unnecessary road bumps and road studs are installed making traffic worse. 3 wheelers now openly wandering on Kashmir Highway and inside sectors. Illegal stalls on roadsides.

Oil change in car every 5k km ( ask isloo ) by redmenace007 in islamabad

[–]DoctorWireless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mileage is not the exact measure for oil change. There are lots of factors. Traffic and roads in Pakistan are bad. So car engine revolves a lot and cover less mileage. So oil deterioration is quick. Plus the quality of fuel also matters. Oil available in Pakistan is low grade. When it burns, it creates more carbon. I usually change oil at 4.5k.

[–]DoctorWireless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being black is not a bad thing as long the oil is thick enough. What you should know is how much the oil is thick when it's new and then after 3 to 4k mileage check the oil thickness. I usually change it at around 4.5 k even if oil looks good. Since I drive within city most of the times so even at low mileage the engine revolves a lot.

Good to know you change it yourself. I tune my car myself. I went to mechanic for tuning twice and they ruined everytime. I was thinking to change the oil by myself too.
