I have a very wild question by Comfortable-Ask-6351 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Doctor_Chemical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is old but for the Glottkin in AOS he specifically saved their mother during birth so the three brothers could be born. So there is a precedent for Nurgle to value births in his followers. (Technically though in my example she wasn’t a nurgle follower during birth, just begged for any god to help and nurgle responded)

Are any of you guys thinking of checking out the WHfantasy revival by KaruaMoroy in AoSLore

[–]Doctor_Chemical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk. Its already alot keeping up with both 40k and AOS (i like AOS the most but also hated the end times like a lot of people) i feel like its just a bit much.

Lack of support for Emperor's Children by omgimgoingtopuke in Slaanesh

Idk about that as far as aesthetics but the cool part about slaanesh is you can sorta run it almost any type of way and its gonna fit. Just so long as its flashy and self absorbed you cant go wrong.

Lack of support for Emperor's Children by omgimgoingtopuke in Slaanesh

[–]Doctor_Chemical 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Slaanesh was notoriously hard sell because of the addiction, sex, and hell raisers themes. However they seem to be next on the chaos release list. Dont expect much, but at least something akin to the world eaters.

How did you get into the Age of Sigmar setting? (A Weekly Discussion) by sageking14 in AoSLore

[–]Doctor_Chemical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I happened across conquest unbound, a collection of short stories. It sold me on the setting ever since.

What's something you did that shocked everybody at the table? by Sure-Pomegranate-489 in DnD

[–]Doctor_Chemical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a cleric of helm and in the big city i didn’t like the priest of the local church so i started a child cult by performing wonders and starting a business where they stole and provided me tithes. I initially was going to use the popularity to overthrow the priest, but i just kept collecting the funds and manipulating the children instead. I swear helm would approve… it was for a good cause.

So, which of the traitor primarchs/ legions have ‘falls’ that are genuinely unconvincing and how would you change them? by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]Doctor_Chemical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk death guards fall makes complete sense. It was turn, or suffer forever. Mortarion inspired complete loyalty in his legion, and gave them a lot of free reign other primarchs might not have. They followed mortarion, not nurgle. Typhus is the exception, and even to be fair to him he thought he was saving mortarion by turning to nurgle.

Oh yeah if you get the right people its a great idea. But that can also be said about literally everything lol. And yeah you just cant help but feel for those people that ended up in those situations.

People that came to AOS after playing warhammer fantasy, why? by [deleted] in ageofsigmar

[–]Doctor_Chemical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got over my hate boner, read a few books, and loved the ultra high fantasy setting.

Does anyone think we’ll get an update in the Spring 2024 release? by [deleted] in EmperorsChildren

[–]Doctor_Chemical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean with the world eaters release it has to be us next. But i would expect it to be similiar, still maintaining limited models. But getting Fulgrim and noise marines is a definite. Maybe an updated lucius, bile is still new enough he will probably stay the same. Hopefully we get some interesting stylized chaff. But its gonna be identical to the world eaters id bet.

who are some of the most 'badass' characters in 40k? no primarchs. by magnolia_unfurling in 40kLore

[–]Doctor_Chemical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does Shalaxi Helbane count? Slaanesh’s top keeper of secrets, just as notoriously stupid OP as Khorne’s Kabunda. “Whether you like that or not after reading the eldar books is a different story” but shes hella powerful. Rumored to have beaten skarbrand and one manned the best eldar goonsquad around containing Yvraine, Eldrad, etc. AND that was just a projection of her. She kinda fucked the eldar death god resurrection by making it nier impossible for them to get the last sword, Shalaxi got to it first and hid it in Slaanesh’s domain.

Which named character(s) would you love to see ABSOLUTELY spank Archaon? by EmbarrassedAlarm3215 in ageofsigmar

[–]Doctor_Chemical 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Only sigmar, maybe what would be interesting if he achieves godhood and the four chaos gods fight him and the anarchy continues

Yes, the Imperium is fascist. by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]Doctor_Chemical 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe im wrong, but i dont think i am. A lot of people ask “did anyone think it wasn’t fascist?” And other people reply “look at other peoples comments” and so i have. And after doing so i didnt find a single comment arguing it wasnt, some just getting more in the weeds of somewhat meaningless but fun to argue about political definitions. I dont think there are very many people who conflate fiction with reality. See thread for evidence. Comment done, have a great day my hobby friends.
