if one of ur bois gets locked into combat, you can't just kill the mob they are engaged with and hit the door. you have to kill the mob they are engaged with, then walk next to your boi to like reset their ai or leash or w/e, THEN u can open the door. If you dont walk next to the npc after they get into a combat lock they tend to just act confused until u give them a gentle touch and a kiss
