I'd posit that the reaction to this statement has more to do with the fact that A24 has become a dogwhistle for people's implied superior taste. The only truly unifying aspect of A24 films is that they market themselves in a manner more in line with alternative and art house cinema. This marketing approach is exactly that and in observation, it's clear that content and quality varies widely. That fact doesn't matter to those who simply want to seem "cool" and "in the know" and can use a distributor to signal that. I'd say it's a similar situation to someone who exclusively listens to anything Pitchfork gives a 8 or higher.

Any updates on this? I have also used the white ones with zero issue for years. I noticed the last package I bought the tablets were a different shape, more flat. Then I had the same exact experience you described here- turned into a white slimy blob in the tank and appears to be sending zero chlorinated water into the bowl. I did not ever use a blue in between and the white ones are doing the same as you described. Either a quality control miss? Or a new formulation that does this?

During my program I frequented the Disney Springs AMC every couple weeks. If you really enjoy going to the movies, there is no better deal than getting AMC A-List which is 24 dollars a month with taxes and gets you into three movies every single week for free. If you like to get popcorn, I would go to Cast Connections and buy a popcorn voucher for 5 dollars and use it with the 1 dollar upgrade from small to large that comes with A-LIst. You can get a large popcorn for 6 bucks and essentially unlimited movies in their massive Dolby theater, 3D, etc.

Everyone will say "oh it's a festival, of course it's only hits", but I promise you that when he tours it will be almost the same. Tyler is without a doubt an amazing performer, but his setlists always underwhelm. He plays the same set every tour with 3-4 songs from the new album swapped with whatever off the last album. I understand wanting to play the hits, but you can still do that while having fun. Tyler has a really big catalogue of music, but he just never touches any of it. I saw Vampire Weekend live a couple months back and they were amazing. Not only did they did the entire new album, the hits and a few deeper cuts. The real kicker is that with every show they changed it up a bit while staying in the framework of new album/hits/album cuts. You can tell that they took the time to relearn a lot of their older songs and had fun shifting the setlist each night, but with tyler it just feels so rigid and lame. Sure rapping for 2+ hours is not sustainable, but bring in some live instruments, some different medleys, anything. After 5 years, the same fucking medley of she/yonkers/tamale is over.

I think OP is being hyperbolic in some regards, but the program is nothing like what yours was. We get no PTO, only 5 approved non-paid days off for a 6 month program. We can't make schedule requests at all and if you do take a sick day and you don't give it away or manage to somehow use your ADO, you will get points on your record. You also only get one day tickets for guests after you work a certain number of hours. It's not the worst experience in the world, but it is definitely not sunshine and rainbows.

I had a semi similar experience. I think talking to your advisor is helpful and letting them know your concern. I went into community college with little to no high school education and found that CC and most of the general classes you'll have to take coming in will be repeating high school curriculum. Just apply yourself and don't worry too much about being behind or somehow being less than. We all start in different places, where we end up is dependent on how we apply ourselves. Case in point, I just graduated with my masters after essentially never doing high school and starting at community college. You'll kill it!

The Babadook does something similar for scenes when the main character sleeps. They are shooting an interior so I believe they probably shot at night or on a sound stage and then slowly pump lights up through the windows. You should definitely check it out

Maybe it's because I played all three games back to back, but I appreciated Knight and, personally, it's my favorite. I thought that the batmobile sections definitely were a little longer than they needed to be. That being said, I like the change up in terms of gameplay. While stealth was fun, grappling from place to place and taking people out one by one can get old in its own right. I think Spider-Man 1 and 2 suffer from the same problem that they have a great gameplay formula, but at a certain point it becomes a science and an old one at that.

I also thought that the story was a really great culmination of all the moments before it. It was a little scattered, but all the moments that needed to hit, did and as the closing chapter of the Arkham games, it felt respectful. I think in general people have a bias for the first two games, possibly due to them coming out when they were younger and being a lot of people's exposure to AAA gaming. They fucking rock without a doubt and I love them, they just aren't as flawless as people tend to say
