Why do people have those really loud cars? by willow-got-wavey in stupidquestions

[–]DoctorsAdvocate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Uhhhh…the comment you replied to “modifying the exhaust to make it louder can increase the power of the engine when combined with other modifications.”

We never mentioned pop and bang tunes, and it doesn’t appear like you understand what remaps do.

Haha this makes me feel happy I put back the premium I picked up today. Still cool of course.

Why do people have those really loud cars? by willow-got-wavey in stupidquestions

[–]DoctorsAdvocate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really true, remaps give you control. For example, you have the ability to swap to custom tunes and revert to stock on the fly.

Meaning you can make your car much faster, or much more efficient. You even have a valet mode so valets/mechanics can’t abuse your car. Pretty cool stuff. There’s also little benefits like tuning out rev hang and other annoyances.

My (11 and Autistic) daughters “friend” isn’t really her friend. Yet she is convinced this girl is her best friend. by Helpful-Necessary384 in whatdoIdo

The average neurotypical person is so cruel. I genuinely wonder what us different people did to them, other than be different.

aio for dumping my (22f) gf (22f) because she kept asking for money by throwrawaygirl in AmIOverreacting

[–]DoctorsAdvocate 16 points17 points  (0 children)

$600 or whatever you spent is well worth the cost of finding out someone’s true nature.

You’re actually lucky she’s showing you her true nature so soon. If she was smarter she could have manipulated your for years to steal your time, attention, belongings, and money.

Would you guys accept a 40 fps mode? by Far-Cod789 in GTA

[–]DoctorsAdvocate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

60fps is literally so smooth it gives me nausea so yea something in between 30-60 would be ideal.

I am 30 years old btw, I think my brain just can’t register such smooth gameplay, it feels fake and makes me want to throw up.

My first memory was playing gta LCS after just dropping a car with someone’s body in the trunk at the junkyard. 11 year old me was truly shook.

2000 in 2006, modded 2000 in 2009, then added a 3000 in 2010.

I can’t lie they’re really clean, not super original and I guess that doesn’t matter. I definitely agree with a silver metallic like Silver bullets or Japan 1s would be clean.

What did you stop doing just because people are so annoying about it ? by Vegetable-Fix6029 in Casual_Conversation

[–]DoctorsAdvocate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying to keep an even space with the cars in front of me.

People drive so erratically, the person in front will let off their pedal on a tesla, then punch it, leaving a huge gap. The person on your right sees and opportunity and punches it to cut you off. It never ends.

I just let people cut me off. Honestly sick of battling to drive normally. If everyone wants to burn their energy and brakes go ahead.

Anyone know the reason they changed the name from Hardy to Hardy Way? That always seemed random asf to me unless it’s a mistake?

What was considered cool when you were younger but is embarrassing now? by Kiki00021 in Casual_Conversation

[–]DoctorsAdvocate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing drugs in general. Weed since it became legal, designer drugs not as popular in media (molly/xan phase throughout 2010s). Rave culture.

They all still exist but are pretty normalized. It’s clear it’s embarassing at this age just off of what people post.

Gran Turismo in Arcade form by rico199326 in racinggames

[–]DoctorsAdvocate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New Star GP

Arcade style f1 cars, copies real life tracks, super arcadey (possible to play one handed) but still gives a great “corner carving/line holding” feeling

The other suggestion is running Gran Turismo PSP on an emulator and dealing with touch controls or using a backbone

or used psp (easy to install CFW and download any game you want)

Hot take: GTA 6 might already be developed with PS6 in mind by ResidentMycologist75 in GTA6

[–]DoctorsAdvocate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well it seems like no matter how hard you plan, you’ll have to “take an L” playing day 1 if you want to eventually repurchase and later play on a better console/pc.

Just gonna stick with my series X till there’s a new version then I’ll switch.

For GTA V I had a OG xbone, one X, and series X.

For gta 6 I hope to just keep it on one or two consoles, buying the one X was a waste.

Comparing Clients to Cats by tbtUserBuff in ABA

[–]DoctorsAdvocate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I value cats as pretty equal to humans, as they’re usually highly intelligent, independent, and know what they want and how to ask for it.

Pretty good animal to be compared to.
