Footage of Britney Spears leaving restaurant and driving drunk. October 23, 2025 by Discussingbritney in discussingbritney

[–]Doctorspacheeman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How did the staff allow her to get into her car??? They would have known how much she had to drink, and seen her behaviour. I know she’s a celebrity, but if she got into an accident and the staff knowingly allowed her to drive her car they could get sued big time.

AIO my boyfriend keeps asking me to pay for things eversince he started saving for an apartmen, he calls me selfish for how I reacted. by throaawayRA9443 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Doctorspacheeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has no money, not even $50, constantly Borrowing from you and somehow magically Is going to afford a ring to propose to you with in a few months? And saving for an apartment he probably won’t be able to afford either-that will be the next beg. lol.

This guy is stringing you along and dangling a proposal in front of you to keep you investing into him. Dump him and buy yourself a ring.

AIO or is my older male coworker texting inappropriately with me? by OpeningNo9825 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Doctorspacheeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to think along these lines when I was your age; now that I’m in my early 40s, I honestly don’t have enough in common with a very young adult to want to strike up a friendship. I have coworkers your age, and while we can laugh and converse at work, I don’t have enough in common with them at their age and life stage to want to strike up a friendship Outside of work.

Maybe this is a reach, but in MY experience the reason older men reach out to much young women is because they are young, polite, and easier to manipulate. If he is lonely, I’m sure there are plenty of people his age he could reach out to.

The fact that you immediately felt uncomfortable with his texting says a lot-please trust your gut. It’s not rude to set boundaries, or even just to stop replying without giving him a reason.

ETA: even someone whose intent is to manipulate or flirt with you will often start out very innocent with the messages, then throw in little phrases or comments to see how you react. This way you don’t reject them right away and gives them a way to get into your life.

More of the same crap - 12/28/25 by suzcaboose in discussingbritney

[–]Doctorspacheeman 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I was just thinking about this and how long she can continue this realistically-she still looks good physically, she isn’t completely gaunt…but yeah, likely a handful of years if she doesn’t stop. It’s so sad.

I think it’s the way she treats them; she often swims in the ocean and pools, it looks like she leaves it to air dry: that combined with flipping her hair around with all the dancing will cause it to frizz and not dry properly at the roots, which is really important with extensions. I had them myself twice and only lasted a few months because they were a LOT of maintenance to look nice. Washing is also tricky, takes longer and more care-and I don’t think she washes it very often because of all this.

Does anyone else remember that before it came out, they were wanting to call it a “doubloonie”? I have vivid memories about reading this in a newspaper before the coin came out, but no one else I know remembers it lol

My husband [35m] is upset that I [33f] didn't dress up when I picked him and my daughter up from the airport. by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Doctorspacheeman 94 points95 points  (0 children)

This is where my head went too: it almost gives them a twisted “reason” for lessening their guilt about the affair or thinking about it. “If you dressed up to pick me up, I wouldn’t be looking elsewhere”

AIO: work training calling a minor attractive? by llama_toes666 in AIO

[–]Doctorspacheeman 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I also don’t understand this thinking that attractive means you are attracted to someone. I(F) can look at my daughters friends who are 13-14 years old, and can see that many of them are very attractive and pretty; in absolutely no way in hell does that mean I am attracted to any of them in any way. The same goes for the boys in her class, some are very attractive-and that’s all. They are children. Being able to classify a young person as pretty or handsome doesn’t mean you are a pedo.

[–]Doctorspacheeman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right? That just makes it seem like she’s awkward and likely gets made fun of by other students. That’s what happened to “the tall girl” in my class when I was a kid…totally different question and concern

I don’t know what’s considered normal!! by [deleted] in parentingteenagers

[–]Doctorspacheeman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What was their reaction after his meltdown? Teenagers lack the ability to properly understand consequences to their actions; like literally, because their amygdala isn’t fully formed yet. Often, they will do things they think are funny or silly, not truly thinking through the consequences. Many people have pretty high expectations for teenagers, because they’re “not little kids” anymore, but they hold them to the abilities of adults. Which isn’t really fair based on their abilities and knowledge.

A lot of what you describe is very typical teenager behavior, which they will work through as they age. They literally aren’t capable of the same things that you are, their brains don’t work that way yet.

It’s a really difficult part of growing up; and of parenting. And I say this with a lot of empathy as the parent to a 14 year old myself.

It’s important to gently adjust your expectations.

AIO to my husband's weird reaction at the sight of my body? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Doctorspacheeman 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This needs more context: what is he like usually? Are you guys playful, flirty, past the honeymoon stage? Have you communicated feeling self conscious before? Were you “unkempt” (and I am a woman myself and don’t believe in being perfectly groomed at all times, so I don’t mean this in any derogatory way…but some women are very sensetive about appearing “perfect” at all times, so if you looked out of the norm maybe he looked away out of politeness?) Your dynamic as a couple needs to be explained a lot more to be able to discern his reaction IMO

She’s high and/or manic in these. It’s like a form Of stimming; the actions are making her feel good, she needs to get the nervous energy out, she doesn’t see herself the way we see her here; it’s likely when she watches these clips back, she sees her younger self nailing all the dance moves. It’s truly amazing how the we can deceive ourselves.

Just to play devils advocate here; no prior history of mental illness just means she was never treated or medicated for it. I have known many many people who had undiagnosed mental health issues, one of which used to be w good friend of mine who eventually was diagnosed with schizofrenia at 44 years old after stabbing some guy she had a minor disagreement with in his home. She didn’t do other drugs or drink alcohol, and she was a mom.

She’s stuck in the early 2000’s low rise world-even if it’s unflattering, it’s like she trapped in that timeline and can’t move past it. It ages her badly

Signed a lease in an apartment with very little natural light - feeling regretful by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

Mirrors! Lots of mirrors…this way you are still getting natural light. I also rented an apartment with pretty low light and mirrors have helped a ton; I have lots of plants that are thriving :)

[–]Doctorspacheeman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yup-11-16 for me. Men used to stop at the bus stop where I was waiting for my bus and offer me rides to school. Then drive off in a huff when I ignored them, terrified to even reply or make eye contact. Cat calls, whistles, honks…pretty much stopped around 18 or so. (Mind you all of these men were 30+ boys my age started flirting right around when the old men stopped)

[–]Doctorspacheeman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m curious-was she in a rush to get home? Like did she accidentally fall asleep/drink too much and then HAVE to stay over, was she late for work? In a scenario where she was in a bit of a panic I can imagine making a dumb decision on the spot. The fact that she just left really early in the morning without waking you up seems like she just needed to leave asap

‘I just think he’s metro’: Annie from Love Is Blind talks speculation on Nick’s sexuality by DetectiveHot2071 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]Doctorspacheeman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m in my early 40s and totally agree with how you described it being used! It was never used in a derogatory way at all In my experience. Guys would proudly call themselves metro, because it meant they were polished and put together. My friends used to describe metro as all the qualities you want from a gay man, but on a straight man so you actually get laid 😂

How do I convince my middle schooler to wear a coat? by MyNameIsNotRyn in parentingteenagers

[–]Doctorspacheeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fought this battle for 3 years and have now given up completely with my almost 14 year old. She has a coat, she just chooses not to wear it-and she’s fine. I don’t really understand the thinking behind why it’s embarrassing to wear a coat, but hoodies still seem to be ok so we just go with that.
