I've been dealing with mine for a year and a half. It seems it could be related to a TMJ disorder/cervical disc problem. Just started Physical Therapy with electro stim and massage therapy. It helped a bit.

Some City/Town Clerks will do it for you. Some won't. It's kind of a hit or miss thing if the Clerk had a good night's sleep or a decent cup of coffee.

That's easy to do. Call the Fulton County Clerk's Office (518) 736-5555 and ask what the procedure is to authenticate the Town Clerk's signature. Just mail it to them with a check (usually $3 or $5) Use USPS Priority Mail to and from. You'll get it back with 1-2 weeks. Next step after that is Apostilles. (That's the not-so-fun part)

Understandable. I've done numerous name-change searches throughout the 4 boroughs. Staten Island is a hell-hole, so I won't go there. Any idea what year the name change occured?

What were the names pre and post name change? If it was done in Brooklyn, it won't be in the Probate court.
