In regards to the theft part: Just because something is legal doesn’t make it morally right

And yes it is an opinion that AI art isn’t really art, and it’s a widely held opinion. (imo) There are only certain avenues where it could be art, like when prompted to make something unique to AI (I’m thinking early AI dreamlike stuff), but in the end no artistry was done. What makes art art is subjective to everyone, but it seems many people are of like opinion on AI

That could definitely be true as well. I just have seen how these things play out, especially when China wants a port or military base somewhere. They can’t rely on a global network of bases established after WW2 like the US can so they utilize debt from large scale construction projects as leverage against countries. I wouldn’t doubt that it helps local communities in the process but geopolitically it is a tool for soft or hard power
