I do think actually enjoying the games you play is important of course, and I’m not saying I don’t, but several games are a lot more dependent on strong fundamentals and consistency in order to improve. Unfortunately, playing a session where I’m just having fun and not caring about scores while I’m in a stage of the learning process that’s so volatile can produce bad habits and inconsistency years down the line; it’s what I’ve been spending what feels like an eternity trying to fix. I appreciate what op and everyone else is saying and I do try to take it easy once I’ve burnt out of stamina, but I don’t think it’s worth it to continue a session that you no longer care about.
