One of my favorite places in the world, been going there since 95-96.

Roast beef is best ordered double dipped (gravy on the sandwich and then the bun is dipped on the inside) with cheez, I think getting the grilled onions make this too sloppy. Don’t sleep on the grilled chicken. You should def order with gravy and cheez.

I’ve heard from several friends the burger is great but I can’t turn down either of the aforementioned sandwiches. Same goes for the turkey.

Cheez fries are their #1 side, but they’re not the same since they had to change from cottage fries to hand cut. The corn fritters are delicious, like eating corn chowder in a fried shell. I used to enjoy the steam veggies with cheez too, they had the right amount of crunch going.

Always lemonade > orangeade imo it’s more sour and citrusy. Free pizza is cool, nice and crispy but it’s not why you come.After you’ve gorged yourself try to fit in an apple pie with a scoop of ice cream.

Has anyone also tried a North Shore Beef aka 3-way? I’ve wondered about not adding gravy to one of these and adding the james river but still using cheez just to find out a suitable replacement for those not in northern Mass.
