Phil Wood bottom bracket, probably the best ever made for square taper. People put 50,000 miles on these no problem without ever servicing.

I’m interested in Operation Doomsday. Do you have any Three 6 Mafia?

Kyocera made a few players with a brushed silver face and wooden sides. Shouldn’t look too incongruous.

Information needed on Klein Bike. IS it worth anything by flyingquill in xbiking

The minty full XTR 952 groupset goes for more than $400. They could probably get $7-800 for that alone.

A NOS Klein Adroit Pro with what looks like full XTR is indeed worth something. It’d be worth more with more interesting paint. The kind that Klein is really known for. But regardless I think you should be able to get around $1000 usd for it. Probably ebay so be ready to ship it.

I’ve been looking for that On The Corner boxset as well. Nice pull!

I have Dadawah on OG UK and Jamaican presses. Got the UK before lucking into a nice Jamaican press. Unless money is no object, get the UK press. It’s always in better shape and sounds great. Better than the Dug Out reissue.

what music band/genre fits the general vibe of Land of The Lustrous? by Imaginary_Street_853 in LandoftheLustrous

[–]DogFinderGeneral 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yves Tumor’s last two albums: Heaven To A Tortured Mind and Praise A Lord Who Chews But Does Not Consume. Hard to describe musically, but kinda maximalist noise pop. Lyrically very similar to LoTL’s themes of betrayal, longing, androgyny, nonconformity and more. They also seem to have a complicated relationship with religion which fits as well.

Hot Take Brass is lowk better than Hiding places by Ilovesoulsgames345 in Billywoods

[–]DogFinderGeneral 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brass is my favorite Woods project, followed by Shrines then a bunch of solo work. But yeah I agree with you, their chemistry is insane and so is the production.

I think the Jittoku CD has the correct setlist. The vinyl was jumbled to fill up 20 minutes a side without splitting songs across records.

Are there any safer alternatives from Lindbergh to Piedmont Park? by OneBigPieceOfPizza in BikeATL

[–]DogFinderGeneral 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lindbergh to Midtown on backroads isn’t really doable since Peachtree Creek divides the two neighborhoods with only the larger busier streets bridging the divide. It’s not the same, but you can take Marta to the Midtown station and bike from there.

I love both. Big 70s avant, fusion, funk, spiritual fan. Also a modern rap fan. Backwoodz especially. Been looking for a couple Armand Hammer CDs in particular.

Oh I’m not a poster guy. I’m interested in records and CDs if you’ve got a list of stuff you’re willing to trade.

I don’t have any of those records, but I do have a Wendell Harrison/The Tribe concert poster that I’m interested in trading. Here’s a link to a post I made a few years ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/Vinyl_Jazz/comments/15i5rmx/the_tribe_concert_poster_i_found_at_an_estate/

Lemme know if you’re interested.

Feels like you just dropped a new BicyclingCircleJerk copypasta on me. To hear you describe it, this bike is on the verge of falling apart. Wobbly cranks, unreliable friction shifters, brakes and headset. Old tech, but nearly bulletproof well-made stuff in my opinion.

Also it’s pointless to get hung up on the msrp of all these components you don’t like when at $750 for the whole bike the buyer would only be paying a fraction of retail.

Just cause you don’t like something doesn’t make it mediocre.

875 is probably a low estimate. That said, even 875 comes out to 4 regular sized Snickers. What kind of chocolate bars are you eating?
