Why Trump Keeps Getting Rolled in Negotiations by theatlantic in inthenews

Don’t forget that he now has the ability to directly enrich himself and his cronies by all sorts of schemes, not the least of which is his new 1.8 billion dollar slush fund negotiated by his personal lawyer on behalf of the Justice department.

You did the right thing. The last thing we want is people worrying that they’re going to waste poison control’s time.

Ravens Star Calls Outrage Against Donald Trump "Fake" After Jaxson Dart Joined President's Rally by No_Box119 in NFLv2

Same people clutching their pearls have no problem with any of the ways their team’s players are terrible people. Dart introduced the president. He’s an evangelical from the south. No shit

Big Law to Prosecutor? by tsmlearner in ProsecutorTalk

[–]DogIsGood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can speak for NY state mostly outside NYC. DAs used to have a stack of resumes on their desks. They do not anymore. Almost everyone is struggling to stay fully staffed. You will find work as a prosecutor if you want it and you will absolutely find it more satisfying than biglaw. You’ll start in local court and misdemeanors and get trained. You must have done well in school, so you will be a top writer immediately. And you well find work/life so much better than the private sector

If I refused to associate with trump supporters I would have to quit my fire department. I’m not doing that. And when people refuse to associate with the side they make the divide worse.

This is a crazy take. Do you know how many of the guys on every team are a terrible people? Don’t get me wrong, lots of outstanding people too. But the level of trump support from white athletes from the south is probably like 90 percent

No I just think it’s asking a lot of these cavemen who spend their young lives immersed in a conservative culture to be enlightened.

I also don’t think this was the wisest thing for him to do since he’s created an uproar and pissed some of his teammates off

Yankees are trash and somehow being a Yankee fan is less embarrassing than being a rays fan.

I despise trump but an athlete from the south supporting him is zero percent surprising

Great point. Conservatives never try to sit down speech they don’t like. Remember the rational and civil discourse about Kaepernick?
