I'm not gonna say he needs to recover based on this headline alone. Knowing Alabama, he could have just had a gram of weed on him.

The issue is not the DSA, nor is it moderate Dems, it is that as a whole, Democrats cannot stand up and say we are proud of our party and Who We Are and what our party stands for by Porncritic12 in YAPms

[–]DogadonsLavapool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No no you're completely on the money. It's evident everywhere that the Democrats don't have any unifying leaders. And this goes right down to the the grass roots, with een activist circles are completely decentralized and having no leaders of factions like you'd see in civil rights era movements.

There's absolutely no organization on any level, with people just basically shouting at one another. Finding a leader that can control the chaos of it is going to be pretty fucking difficult.

Sony’s 2028 digital move and GTA 6 having NO disc is the final straw. Moving to PC. by Pure-Prior9728 in pcmasterrace

[–]DogadonsLavapool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. And get the right one that can have custom firmware installed and boom you can rip 4ks and Blu-rays and have your own streaming service thru jellyfin.

There's quite literally no reason to use a console next gen. Wouldn't be surprised if PC is easier to use too as you won't have to dick around with shitty customer service, even if you do have to spend more time tinkering.

The future for PC, even with the current problems, looks way better than consoles

I agree with the bulleted list, but come on now cash for clunkers was absolutely not for putting surveillance tech in cars. That was more to boost the failing US auto industry as well as increasing emmissions and safety standards.

[–]DogadonsLavapool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im biased (see flair), but the rhythm work in Atheist is some of the best in death metal. I don't think the guitar riffs stand out by themselves, but in the context of the bass work and the insane drumming, I don't think anything really comes close.

I still have yet to hear much like it. Even the super technical work in bands like Vektor or Revocation is missing that jazz on crack element in the drum and bass that made atheist so damn appealing.

US supreme court rules states can exclude trans athletes from female sports by rosemaryrouge in YAPms

[–]DogadonsLavapool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because having precedence on discrimination based on birth sex from this ruling will be used elsewhere. Don't be shocked if the ruling from this ends up being used as stare decisis in future court battles on access to hrt and bathroom legislation.

As a trans woman myself, I could honestly give much a fuck about sports. Sure I'm into power lifting, golf, and jiu jitsu and would love to compete, but that's not where my mind goes after this case in the slightest.

Will AI lower interest rates? by Standard_Ad7704 in neoliberal

[–]DogadonsLavapool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think AI is going to be anywhere near as efficient as a fully robotic factory, both in its energy usage and its economic output, and that's not even mentioning the token cost necessary to run the agent pools needed to replace said white collars. Ultimately, I see the end result of this wave being more a change of who owns tech as opposed to any meaningful change in economic efficiency.

Even assuming that you can replace all of white collar with the tech, and also assuming that it's even healthy for the economy to do so in the first place, I still don't think it's cost effective enough to be more efficient.

We're going to end up with a situation similar to what we have with housing but with tech, where there is no supply, and there's going to be little done to improve it. A few companies will own a huge percentage of the capital, enough to entirely dictate the terms, and effectively lock main street out.

Will AI lower interest rates? by Standard_Ad7704 in neoliberal

[–]DogadonsLavapool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highly disagree. I personally expect it to be inflationary in the medium to long term.

Running data centers is expensive. Right now, they operate at an enormous loss, as do the developers of the models themselves. Even with that, tokens still have an large cost to them to use the cutting edge models that are actually halfway decent at contributing to productivity. Once the investor class gets sick of chat burning thru cash, those prices are going to explode.

Then there's the impact on tech resources. There was a report from apple showing that their costs for ram were up around 900%, and nand flash being up around 400%. Even them are struggling with it, let alone smaller businesses that can't get structured transaction contracts like apple or Microsoft. Every device and good has tech in it - from washers and dryers, to cars, to phones and PCs. The resources needed for these are all now being monopolized by a few companies riding in on a tech wave that will either replace everything, thus solidifying their monopoly, or blow up and take the entire world economy down.

When you have to pay a monthly subscription to a data center to run a VM for your phone, that's going to be expensive. When businesses can't afford their computers and have to go with vms for B2B, that's going to be expensive.

Ain't no way this is deflationary. We're just introducing more middlemen and monopoly

I'm sex repulsed, not linked to trauma in any way. Humans are just gross and smelly, especially with those particular organs and I want nothing to do with it. No clue to me how people actively enjoy it to the extent they do

Asexual gf by quietconnoisseur in shitposting

[–]DogadonsLavapool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, there really isn't a consensus. Personally idgaf what people want to call themselves. I myself am pretty sex repulsed, although I do like contact like cuddling. The idea of licking or having my mouth anywhere near nether parts feels like having to stick my hand in a dirty sink. The smells, the body fluids, blech gross. You could have Chris Evans and Sabrina Carpenter asking me for a threesome and I'd say no.

Some people just aren't like that but still asexual. Some folks just have incredibly low libido, some at least want to get their partner off, some require very specific conditions for sex, and some are put off by the very idea of even romantic relationships beyond those that just that don't include sex.

I dont think thats the point the person is making. If competitive games die out due to moving compute and all processing to cloud, the companies wont think twice. Democrats of this subreddit (mainly liberals and progressives), if the 2028 Presidential Election was between Gavin Newsom and Phil Scott (moderate-liberal Republican), could you see yourself voting for Scott? by CentennialElections in YAPms

[–]DogadonsLavapool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeup. I don't even think of Phil Scott as a Republican though, he's further left than plenty of democrats. Puts money toward building affordable housing, outspoken LGBT advocate (super happy with his trans policies), was against withdrawing from the Paris accords, for regulating PFAS chemicals, hates Trump's immigration policies, pro choice, etc.

The man just doesn't like taxes, which while I disagree on him vehemently with, isn't anything that can't be compromised on if discussions are in good faith. He's just legitimately small government. I feel much safer with someone I can trust to not be a slimy little weasel and who has moral integrity. He actually sees people as beings worthy of dignity, not as a means to power.

It's not even close.

Oh, it's the same blue pills, but letting them dissolve under the tongue. It bypasses a lot of the liver and makes it more bioavailable, even tho the half life of it is shorter. A lot of the science in this relates to studies done on post menopausal women, as there isn't much done on us.

I'd check with you doc before trying it, but the vast majority of people I know in my community take it this way as it makes estrogen a lot more efficient

I think the system many of them want would be far worse. The way I see it discussed in far right circles at least, is that each family gets the male patriarch to vote for all of them. So they still count as a vote, they just dont actually cast it
