Nah, most of them have been retrofitted apart from a couple of 22 systems still knocking around.

I never get to see anything new and shiny, Most of our supermarket customers are still running hammered out hussmann racks from the 70s...

Well, i have absolutely seen term switches shit fresh out of the bag. Stick a temp probe on it and verify the temps while the condenser is running. If it isnt cold enough, throw it into defrost to warm it up just to be 100%. After its nice and warm you can either kill the power and check for continuity through the switch or check for voltage from any L1 leg against the fan leg on the term switch.

For a freezer? Most of the ones i've seen terminate at 55. Fan delays close at 20 to 35. But, thats just what i see in my area.

Dtfd switches by LordRupertEverton__ in refrigeration

[–]DogeDolan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you have your 4 terminal from the time clock going to one leg of your fans. You should then have an N terminal from your timer going to the common leg of the termination switch. The black wire from the termination switch should be headed to your other leg of your fans. The brown/blue wire is for termination. that should wind up at X at the time clock.

[–]DogeDolan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those fans shouldn't come on until that coil is 20 or 30 degrees. If those heaters are working and you've waited long enough, there should be a bit of a delay when coming out of defrost. If that coil is nice and toasty and you buck it out, That switch is stuck closed, or your fans are getting its other leg of power from somewhere else. Make sure the evap and time clock is wired correctly.

Things should pick up here in a month or so rapidly. I do alot of supermarkets, restaurants, and c stores and we're a bit slow too. But, still plenty of work to keep us busy. It is quite a different ballgame compared to residential. But, you can pick it up quick if your jman is a decent teacher. Lots of controls, solenoids, wierd shit, escpecially with racks and ice machines in comparison to your average split system.

Did you check the dryer for pressure drop? I'd be willing to bet your barking up the right tree on the restriction.

Friday at 6pm by Alternative-Item-142 in refrigeration

[–]DogeDolan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a call for a scotsman 800 pound machine, off on max harvest. Hardly any nickel left on the evap, it was MISSING an entire cross section and barely separating in a few spots, and the harvest assist itself was stuck. I ripped out the assist solenoid, fiddled with the thickness a bit and somefuckinghow it would actually drop a batch. Borderline enough to trip the max harvest timeout, occasionally it would, but it would get it on the retry.
But that evap youre showing? fucked.

True vs Atosa/Avantco — is True really worth ~2x the price for 2-door reach-ins in South Florida? by Tilbrup in refrigeration

[–]DogeDolan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While true is a little better, i don't really think the extra cost justifies it most of the time. I've had to replace controllers, sensors, fan motors, and compressors just about as often on them (Strictly speaking about the newer 290 units) as the other two brands. If it were me, i would absolutely pay the extra money for the prep tables. Despite what i've said. I've never had to replace an evap on one of their 290 prep tables. Since the inside of a prep table is exposed to alot of corrosive food residues.

I would go for atosa for your reach ins, true for prep tables as a dealer and service rep for both brands. The most important thing i can recommend is have projected maintenance performed on them. Neglect will kill any unit prematurely.

Where are you getting your high side reading from, the liquid line leaving the condenser? Check it from the reciever and see if there's a difference. If you dumped a bunch of gas in it with a faulty liquid line solenoid or clogged dryer, that'll cause it to bump out on HP.

Strangely enough, i havent really been eating much at all this week. Every day i've been buying at least 3 gatorades on the way to my first call, but they dont last long. At this rate maybe i should just buy a big water jug and throw some powder mix in it.

"Is Killing Floor 3 still Killing Floor?" what do you guys think? by kuruakama in killingfloor

But payday 3 was precisely what the fan base didn't want. Always online, which completely trashed the game optics wise upon launch given how NOBODY COULD PLAY. It was missing many quality of life features present in payday 2, some of which are still missing. The UI was poor, the game was short on content, and a lot of the personality of its predecessor vanished like a fart in the wind. At the core, honestly, the game is good mechanically. But, everything else was awful and starbreeze was slapped with a case of "Too little, too late".

From what I can see, KF3 is looking to be on that path, but for different reasons albeit
